Guys I'm worried about app st

And Northwestern and their 10-2 record was going to give us a battle in the bowl game too? And Iowa before that?
Whack ! Whack ! Personally, I like App State, especially when they took Michigan down but they just don't have enough fire power in this match up this year.

I also very worried about Appy State. And the tooth fairy, Easter Bunny, Santa, that one really mean unicorn, a black and white Centaur who lives next door who plays the pan flute at odd hours, and of course herpes from a blow up doll.

Please tell me you forgot the blue font

No, but hear me out, I never said I was "worried" but App State is better than BG, they will hang around the first half, and UT will wear them down. However, my point was IF UT plays sloppy, the game will be close for a UT win. My previous post, I predicted only 2 losses, but I believe UT can win out. The only game I am really "worried" about is the TAM game, and that is only because of where that game lands on the schedule. This is the best Team UT has had since the Clausen days.

My honest gut feeling is, Butch and company is not going to let this team look past any game. I was only stating that App State is the best lower tier team we have played in a long time.

Go Vols!!

And they beat Michigan! In the big house 😁

I worry that some of our main guys might get hurt against Appy when they should be sitting after getting a huge lead.

I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed that game in the Big House ... nearly 9 years ago. There's nothing quite like watching 107000+ Michigan fans get really, really quiet. As we walked the mile and a half or so back to the car, there must have been a dozen or so Michigan fans ask me, "Where is Appalachian State anyway?"

That said, there's no way (at least on paper) that App comes anywhere close to UT. Yes, we've moved from FCS to FBS. Yes, we do have a good G5 team. Yes, Satterfield is a very good coach. Yes, we're going to be even better as the years go by.

But ... we're not Tennessee ... period.

Could App win? Sure. That's the whole reason they play these games. Is it likely App will win? Not really.

I'm just glad my boss is closing the office early that Thursday so we can all make it to the game in Knoxville. See you in 34 days!

The Appy State team that beat Michigan 9 years ago was the best FCS team I had ever seen. Armanti Edwards was a special, once in a generation (maybe two) athlete, especially at that level. I saw them beat UMass and then the Joe Flacco-led Delaware teams in back to back FCS championships. I'm thoroughly convinced that team could've competed well against a lot of FBS schools. They should've NEVER lost to Montana in Edward's senior year. They let that one get away.

As for the game this year, I'm thinking somewhere in the neighborhood of 48-17.

Only worry I have in this game is someone getting injured otherwise it will be close for about 20 minutes of game time, Vols by 3 TD's

I mean they beat Michigan one time, and they're fighters.

*it's 34 days till football, and someone would've started this thread. I've never done a meltdown thread, so I jumped on the opportunity.

I wonder how many of those players are still on the team?

And how do overlook your first opponent when you have 10 days to prep for your second opponent?

I don't think App St is anywhere near as good as Bowling Green was last year.

With that said, they will hang tough for 20-25 minutes.
