I would be over the moon if Tennessee hired Malzahn as head coach. It'd be really nice to have someone with actual head coaching experience at the P5 level, not to mention proven success, helm the team for once. Getting Gus would remind me a lot of the Rick Barnes hire, and I don't think there's anyone disappointed that we didn't instead hire a mid-major gem like Will Wade or Shaka Smart (not to mention the many who failed) in retrospect.

He wouldn't be my first choice. But he's certainly won in this league. I think he could stabilize the program and get us competing in the East again. I'd certainly be more comfortable giving him 5 years than Pruitt.
