Gus Malzahn

Find someone who has BUILT a solid program. Someone that has done it in spite of not having top flight facilities and national name recognition. Someone that has not a retread, who consistently won (you know... like first year sucks, then 11 wins, 11 wins, 9 wins and finished #8)
Go get Luke Fickell

The Lane train wouldn't be in my top three but he would be a whole heckuva lot better than Auburn's scraps.

You realize the role of AD is very much like that of a CEO, in this case of a hundreds-of-millions earning 'company'. The least of the AD's job is hiring coaches. Why is $1.8M too much?

Can we just call it 2 million? 2 million dollars. He doesn’t block, tackle, dunk, pass, throw a 90 mph fastball for strikes. He comes from UCF. In other words, this is not the guy who got Nick Saban, Dabo Swinney, Ryan Day, or Brian Kelly. 2 million dollars for a guy who signs an agreement every 10 years. Don’t ever say UT is cheap again, fourth highest paid guy in the country and he ain’t won squat. Meanwhile we’re giving kids crap for running to the portal. It is absolutely ridiculous.

You're way out of your element here.

aint going to happen with steel under contract for a couple of years!

Steele may be here for those two years but I would say that they aren't going to pass up a candidate simply because Steele is still on staff here. With all that being said, I don't think Malzahn takes the job. I could see him taking a couple of years off

Oh really, give me an example... just one. LOL
Just Google and watch any of his offense. Lots of concepts about tricking the opponent with a formation/shift, quick snap, a throw back, someone hidden in the flat, or giving eye candy with motion/movement as you give it somewhere else. But it’s really simple and basic concepts paired with a bunch of eye candy to hope the defense doesn’t stay home. If you stay home, it doesn’t work well. Lots of short screens on the perimeter.

Put it this way, Pruitt way out-schemed Malzahn when we played them. All the Auburn fans at the game were complaining because the offense was really bad.

Malzone will not be the long term guy we are looking for!

I'm pretty sure that at some point in the press conference made about comment about how "everyone needed to get on the bus....." Just saying

LOL So basically there was nothing "gimmicky" about it. Check!
