Its time for me to get one. Not a hunter and not big on guns. Only have shot an m-16 in military science at UT. Not against guns and don't care if people have them or not. I just wasn't around them growing up so I have zero comfort or knowledge. I'm going to get trained and think I'll enjoy going to the range prior to popping a cap in someone's ass who wants to get near my front door.
I saw on the news where tn sold a hell of a lot of guns last year. If every one of you is going to have one, damn skrait I better have one as well.
If you were to roll up on Sparty and get capped, what gun would you like to go out from? I don't know prices. Don't even know if guns are $75 or $7500. No clue.
I'll hang up and listen.
Glock is a trusted name. They are very reliable and can withstand a lot of abuse ( mud, dirt, water, snow, dropping etc, but
If you have ever held one they feel like a 2x4 in your
Hand. When I was shopping around for pistols I did a lot of research watched a lot of videos and went to gun shows and shops and held the guns and asked questions. You can't go wrong with a 12 gauge pump for home defense. When an intruder hears that pump, that's enough to make you run. But you have to think about shooting through walls and hitting a family member. They are cheap and ammo is too and plentiful. Just not that fun at the shooting range and not something you want to carry around with you. Def. Have one for the house along with a pistol. First you need to decide what caliber. 9mm is plenty enough, especially for a beginner. Are you going to carry it? If so might want to consider a compact size. I went with the Walther PPQ. The gun is amazingly accurate, reliable and melts like butter in your Hand. It comes
with 3 interchangeable backstraps for the grip to give you perfect fit. 2 15 round clips and is a very sexy gun lol. Walther will also give you lifetime warranty. It is ambidextrous and has European mag release which I love. The take down for cleaning is a breeze . The Springfield xdm is also another great gun with amazing safety features. If your on a budget check out Smith and Wesson and Taurus. Just stay away from hi point. All in all a shot gun for home is good, but pistol more convenient and fun at the range. When you start getting into it you'll want to get rifles for the range. cause they are so much fun. Whether it be bolt actions, or ars. Very addicting.
