Gun control debate (merged)

Yes you are. Either you’re completely ignorant about the subject or nothing more than a liar. It’s one of the 2.
I've never claimed to have any knowledge about guns; quite the opposite, I've proudly stated multiple times I have almost no knowledge about guns.

We've proven over and over again in this thread that knowledge and wisdom have almost no correlation. Some of you guys make me think it may even be a negative correlation.

How long should I give you??????????

Jesus, give me a minute. It’s something you posted a month ago.

The AR-15 is the most popular rifle worldwide and it can easily fire as many as 800 – 1200 RPM depending on the version of the gun, caliber, and trigger.

Seems a little excessive to most reasonable people (at least the ones without tiny d**ks)

LOL..That's it?????????????????????????????

That's a quote from a posted link about fully automatic AR's

Good grief you people are shallow.

Care to try again or would you rather man up and admit you had it wrong all along? (as well as hog and many others)

Odd. In a discussion about mass shootings why would you specifically mention the rate of fire of a gun that I don’t believe has ever been used in a mass shooting and try to smuggle that in simply as an “AR” instead of an automatic “ar”?

So what? We were discussing unreasonable rates of fire.
And it doesn't change the fact that what I posted was correct and the way it was interpreted was wrong.

So........apology accepted, I guess.

Or you’re just blatantly lying. Once again, why would you specifically bring up a gun that’s never been used in a mass shooting?

Go back and read the thread. Someone asked how fast an AR can fire. I provided an answer. Whoever asked didn't specify a semi or fully automatic.

I think one of the points proven (intentionally) was that there are unreasonable rates of fire that have been made mostly illegal and that that very regulation has led to them never having been used in a school shooting.

Win/win for me; but again, I know it will take some longer to process that point.

There are no fully automatic AR15s available for civilian purchase.

Full auto-selectable military versions are the M4 and the older M16

Whoever said that there were?
Lord, have mercy. That's what we are discussing. Military grade weapons are not on the table, and they don't use AR15s.

The most honorable thing you could do at this point is to just apologize for cutting and pasting something asinine, admit that you don't know anything about what you are taking about, and find another thread to troll.

"Lord have mercy" is my sentiment exactly. Why are military grade weapons not on the table?
Careful now......................you may step in it.

Your point was that if we restrict “unreasonable rates of fire” that we could limit the victims of mass shootings and in your mind you proved that by showing that the highest rates of fire have never used?

True, and thank god.
Now if we could reduce the x : y ratio more, all the better. After all. who would suffer if we did?

“We need common sense gun laws that regulate weapons we know nothing about “. If you heard any of the recent arguments about the pistol brace debacle you know just how dumb they are. Somehow removing the brace makes it LESS concealable. The brace is essentially a bump stock. Then you have the ATF who over a decade ago said it was good to go. Now their director wants to make them illegal while he’s admittedly not a firearm expert and can’t define what an “assault weapon” is.
That’s not quite accurate; the brace typically being discussed are not bump stocks, but simply allow the weapon to be shoulder fired instead of completely supported by the hand, or a strap on the wrist or forearm. The ATF argues this makes them a short barreled rifle, and no longer a handgun.
