An understanding of the difference in the above two weapons is critical to this discussion.
If you can show there is a defect in the gun manufacturing process that lead to a mass shooting I welcome suing the manufacturer.Lol, watching Fox. Karl Rove just decried the notion of getting rid of the liability shield for gun manufacturers, and I quote: "imagine if a person in a car accident could sue the manufacturer of the car."
LOL. What an f-tard !! You CAN sue the manufacturer if you can show a design defect caused the accident. Well, how about victims of mass shootings show that manufacturers could make these safer, by limiting capacity for example.
Sheesz the Fox echo chamber is just sinking further and further into complete idiocy.
He’s wrong. Skin color is irrelevant.Somebody has to say it
Very often, you know, Black people, frankly,” Masters clarified. “And the Democrats don’t want to do anything about that.”

I have yet to see a case of a defect causing these shootings though.
To be accurate, which I know you dont want to be, suing the gun manufacturer for a shooting would be like suing if the car was capable of driving faster than the slowest possible speed limit. You sue the manufacturer when the end user isnt ultimately responsible for their actions.
So for guns, if a safety was on and some DA pulled the trigger and shot someone, and you could absolutely prove the gun was on safe, then yeah the manufacturer is in deep doodoo. I would still put the user in jail for breaking three of the biggest gun safety rules, but the manufacturer would also be culpable for the fault in their safety mechanism.
