This is a very good jumping off point for you to research our FF’s writings and read what they themselves said they meant when writing the constitution. Don’t take my word or anyone else’s word for it , read their writings and explanations for yourself .
Okay, I forced myself to read through half of it, although I completely disagreed with the premises that were postulated from the outset. Finally stopped because it was a waste of further time spent on it. I can summarize what I read:
'I don't like guns. Therefore all arguments contrary to my opinion are logically false.'
He did the same thing everyone on here does: call the other side stupid. But the gun owners do know their subject and the statistics supporting their positions far better than the leftists wanting to take away guns.
For the record: I support the 2A because it is the ultimate check on government. A liberal friend of mine sent me what, on the surface, was an anti-2A meme called the 2A Scorecard. On one side it said Tyrannical Goverments and rulers deposed and the other was children/etc killed by gun violence and the respective score was zero to lots and lots of marks.
But it illustrates the 2A has been very effective. Only a few times have the people stood up in arms to the national government (and at least once to a county government. See:Battle of Athens, McMinn County, TN, 1946). Those times have reminded government their power to rule is granted by the people. And an armed people do have the wherewithal to remind government of that fact.
False.False. Nearly every modern democracy (UK, Canada, Norway, France, Sweden, etc.) has respected the rights of their citizenry and not become tyrants trampling their citizens' rights. Their citizens don't have a gazillion guns. There is no basis to say that it is the presence of privately-held guns that keeps a government in check.

False huh. Well, Know-It-All, you walked right into this one. The United States has the longest continous government of the countries you listed. In fact, the US is credited as the oldest country with same form of government in the world. And we have over 300M guns, not a gazillion. Our Constitution is older than the countries you listed by far. It is the ONLY such document in the world with such a clause in it.False. I love how everything is a mass shooting now.Thought this was last weeks shooting, but another one in Nooga
3 dead, 14 shot in mass shooting in Chattanooga, Tennessee
I thought the Weimar government's claim to fame was monumental ineptitude under the yoke of Versailles. Do not recall reading much about it committing genocide unless you are referring to the post-Nazi takeover. Have I missed something? It’s so ****ing stupid to believe it could not happen again.
Literally the ultimate white privileged thought process to believe “someone else will defend me and my life. I should give up my rights and trust them “
There are people still alive from when millions died at the hands of the government of the Weimar Republic when it became tyrannical. What did they do first? Gun control
A good portion of my family tree was cut down in the tyranny. Don’t think it’s not going to happen again. It will eventually.
