That pistol is wicked. Friend of mine purchased one after deployment 10 years ago. Took it to the range and we were impressed.

Again it’s as simple as if her mask was over her eyes and she had to stop so she could see. They were trying to drive away when the driver was struck. Her stoping is Most likely related to being hit. If they were standing their ground the passenger would have got out and confronted their attacker. The thug chased them down. It may not be a stand your ground state but they were trying to leave.
It’s pretty clear self defense

Honestly they may have thought he was running away. After they took off, the perp backed away from them to get his phone then ran back to them. They could have just seen him start to back away and they stopped to catch their breath and make sure she was ok thinking that the situation was over.

Then the oh **** moment when the guy tried to get in again.

If someone tries not once but twice.....you had better be feeling like they are there to kill you. Because if your not ready and the bad guy is.....well, we see how that turns out on a daily basis around the country.


Edit: wait, is the driver male or female? Looks female in the video, looks to have a purse as well, but the news story says it was a man.

Maryland isn't merely not a "stand your ground" but actually a "duty to retreat" state. Under that onus this is not a particularly clear case of self-defense.

You're right. My mistake. I saw the 5-7 and immediately thought of the FN.
