I suspect that a lot of wealthy people feel that way. Many of them realize that what they've done does not really justify what they have and they secretly fear that the masses will one day rise up and take it from them. These are people who want to lock in the social classes and wealth distribution right where it is and keep it there forever. I imagine that many of them pine for the days when people such as themselves could buy a lordship and do pretty much whatever they want to us commoners.
