Gun control debate (merged)

Yeah, gun handling needs some work for sure.
I was thinking it was some big caliber. It looks shiny and figuring the rich MF'er wants cool toys I was thinking larger than 9mm.

Kinda one of those cases I want her to squeeze a round off, miss everyone, and have it smack her in the face.

Best way to fix stupid is to face the consquences.

That lady going to get bucked in the face if she pulls that trigger.

At least from the video still displayed.

With that grip she’s going to get one hell of a “slide bite”.

Unfortunately the protesters could have defaced and destroyed anything they wanted to and the property owners legally could not have used their weapons as deadly force to stop them.

Given what we've seen these mobs do, I think it's reasonable to assume that any group that enters private property like that presents a danger to the life and limb of the occupants. Depending on how badly your DA needs left wing democrat votes will probably determine whether or not you're prosecuted.

No castle law?

If I am them and wanting to defend my property so bad I am standing directly by whatever they are damaging and waiting for the first collateral cut or bruise and then it becomes self defense.

At least imo. No idea what their laws say on that.

I would settle for the ma deuce, 20mm, or brrt gun pintle mount. Does the abrams ever do the grenade launcher pintle?
I think at this point if an Abrams winds up in a fight where the coaxial MG or a grenade launcher comes into play they are in deep doo doo. They can maneuver and accurately shoot. They should never wind up in a knife fight.

It's obviously not carte blanche but MO has more leniency in use of force to protect property than many places.

2013 Missouri Revised Statutes :: TITLE XXXVIII CRIMES AND PUNISHMENT; PEACE OFFICERS AND PUBLIC DEFENDERS :: Chapter 563 Defense of Justification :: Section 563.041 Use of physical force in defense of property.

I would think in pretty much any urban fight it would be good to have.

The coaxial I would think so yes. No idea what kinda accuracy they could get out of grenade launcher and no idea if they even have one.

In this day and age I think we’d discourage putting tanks in a street to street confined fight unless we had to. One person with an RPG HEAT round would come in behind them and shoot them in the ass and they are done.

Definitely not ideal.

But that's why you never travel alone.

I would think the coax is going to be limited by the swing of the main gun in the streets. May cover the front 90 just fine but it's going to struggle with the back.

And besides that's just a 7.62, I can lug one of those around myself.

Speaking of tanks, has anyone been to the tank display at Fort Bennings?

I am thinking if Covid ever clears up I need to head down there.

Or if anyone knows of another good one states side I can go visit. Been watching a good bit from the Brits at Bovington and it's got me itching to see some armor.

Main Battle Tanks were meant to fight other Main Battle Tanks. From talking to retired military people I think the doctrine is to send in Bradley’s and 113’s in the tight urban environment. They can squirt a squad of infantry out the back for close quarters security if needed. And shoot grenades off of their M4 mounted launcher! 😃

Yeah cause a shaped charge or heat shell isnt going to ruin an m113s day any worse than an Abrams....

We need to bring back the old land battleships for urban warfare.

Is the Striker officially still on the books or not? I think that was the next paperwonderkid that fizzled out before it was fully implemented.

Oh no it’s going to toast any armor. It’s more about in close quarters you need infantry supporting any armor for the armor to be able to survive.

Stryker chassis are still around in multiple variants. The Marines use them quite extensively. We’ve got a couple at the plant we keep around for integration work in the stuff we put in them. Sadly we don’t have any MBT’s though 😥

It's amazing that the article Doxx two private citizens on their own property holding perfectly legal instruments, but the group was marching because the Mayor Doxxed citizens who signed a petition showing their support for a cause.
How do you dox someone for making a comment that is public record and includes their name and address?
