Gun control debate (merged)

You’re assuming he has a damn clue what he wants. He knows he just wants something! Anything!
California already has UBCs at point of sale, including private transactions. I don't mean to speak for him, but the national UBCs proposed federally are modeled from CA and several other states' current UBC policies including point of sale to close the loophole.
Not sure the CA UBC model would have helped much in this situation. Although I'm not sure how the kid got the gun, I haven't heard. All I've heard is it was a handgun.

Again how would BGCs with private transactions prevent anyone not supposed to have one from getting a gun?

It won’t help at all , you can buy and sale as many as you want , just don’t reregister them . Yes in Cali it’s done all the time and there’s no way to stop it .

I guess I take the cynical approach. We are a violent culture, there are guns every where, and there isn't much that can be done about it now. Best thing we can do is treat mental illness, try to give a **** about each other we don't like, hope parents raise their kids to give a **** about each other, and go from there. The cat is out of the bag, and there is no easy fix for it.

Best thing we can do is discipline our kids and do not let them be raised by medication and social media.

Cool argument bro!
You know you did. But I'll play what if guns were banned.

A student runs through their school killing with a Buck knife. Buck can then be sued.

A student runs his Chevy blazer through the side of the school killing 12 in a classroom. Chevy can then be sued.

This is dumb as hell.

Or just not have any, that is the other option.

Another school shooting. Anybody but libtards care? If this happened and you lost a child due to someone having a gun that otherwise wouldn’t if there were common sense gun laws would you change your mind?
Pretty sure it was already three types of illegal for the kid to have the gun. Good thing all those laws stopped him

I don't care how many kids get shot while being brainwashed inside public indoctrination centers, it would still have zero bearing on the right of the people to keep and bear arms.

It's pretty simple. If the government can have guns, then so can everyone else. Either we all have the right, or no one has the right. Take your pick, but you can't have it both ways.

I actually care greatly how many kids get shot in schools or any other public venue. It’s absolutely heart breaking.

I just simply do not believe further broad brush heavy handed firearms limitations against law abiding citizens will have any impact at all on stopping a single one of these shootings.
