Gun control debate (merged)

Not trolling. There are actually people in this world who do not think just like you (thank god) as hard as that may be for your pea brain to comprehend.
Still waiting for your answer to these questions that have been posed to you. I know that you have seen them.

Again, it's illegal to text and drive or drink and drive and those people should be arrested if they commit those crimes. Also, the last time I checked there are not a lot of cars causing mass murders either.
Yet you aren't taking away everyone's cellphone or alcohol are you?

Why not?

Why don't you ban phones and cars?

Oh and second request on this one while you are at it.
So list all those instances where someone carrying an AR-15 wherever they wanted; opened fire where they perceived a threat and put others in danger?

I'll hang up now and wait for you to get busy with your Google-Fu.

"A shocking rate of error has emerged: for every nine people executed in this country, one innocent person has been exonerated."
Thousands of people have not been executed then later exonerated. That is not accurate.

Those are the posts of a troll. Or a completely uneducated, ill-informed, misquoting, data-manipulating, make-it-up-as-you-go-along, full blown window licker.

Either way, no point in trying to have a meaningful debate. Only half of you know how to do it.

Peace out...

Which part is a lie? My family and I have the right to peaceful assembly.
Your Constitutional rights were not affected, I doubt you know what a right really is. For you to get on here and cry about the safety of your children then basically say that you would sacrifice them to not have them around scary guns is ****ed up and a lie. Because you are scared of guns, don't try to be self righteousness. That might work with your 40 year old wine tasting club but it won't work on here. You would be screaming shoot shoot if a "scary bad man" had a gun to your kids head ready to do harm.

You give some of us way too much credit , I’ll defend your right to speak freely , I’ll defend your right to assemble peaceful , I’ll defend your right to religion .. I never once said I would defend your personal safety . That’s a decision as an adult you’ll have to or should deal with yourself . I will defend myself and my family with the rights afforded to me by the constitution. My rights are not there to defend you they are to protect me .
Why do you even make this fallacious argument? The 2A is there to allow the citizenry protection from a tyrannical government. Period, end of sentence. The self protection argument is weak and easily argued by sheeple like this nut. You are even trying to establish common ground. If hes in yhe strawberry patch and someone opens fire at his kids, he would be the first one screaming for mommy. They deserve what they get.

Check harder. I think you will find there are.

You are wrong , my right to a firearm for protection is not weak and they can argue all they want but it doesn’t and will not change the fact that I have a right to use my firearm to defend myself and my family . That’s just a proven fact . If we didn’t every single time someone defended themself with one , regardless of circumstances they would go to prison . Now with that right I have the right to take up arms against a tyrannical gov. They have always argued against both . If by finding common ground you mean telling him that I’ll fight for his rights as well as my own ( guilty as charged ) I was taught that example by a grandfather in the Ardennes Forest .

I'm betting the later.

Some of the words of an oath I took back in 1980; again in 1984; once more in 1990; yet again in 1996; then again in 2000 (some of the words were changed since then and forward it was a State oath); and in 2008, 2012, and 2016. Should have it memorized by now, right?

"I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America, against all enemies...foreign and domestic...that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same..."

I have taken a grand total of four oaths in my lifetime: To my God, my Wife, my Nation, and my State. I take them all seriously.

Many, many men and women better than me have died on foreign and domestic soil to honor those same oaths. I owe it to them to carry the banner forward as best as I can.

There's a word that you routinely see associated with those who have stood their watch; stood their ground; and stood tall in the face of those who would see this great nation defeated, humbled, or broken. That word is "Honor".

Funny, it's a word you never hear when talking about those who think it's their right to take away your rights.

Food for thought...

Well put Wolf, I maintain they deserve what they get.

Every American should make it a point to go stand in the middle of Arlington National Cemetery on a nice, sunny day.

The silence is deafening. If you don't get chill bumps, you're not human.

Then go watch the Old Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

That's what it means to be an American. They paid for your freedom and rights in blood. Don't disrespect it, and don't assume it's your right or privilege to compromise what they stood for. That's my issue with the far left.

What have they bled for?

I already said that earlier. Pretty obvious. Just responding to a reply because I have nothing better to do.
