So cops are bad guys too in your eyes? By the same logic they are increasing the threat in the area to the gang banger. Making them just as irrational as an open carry.

We've been contracted to work at the OKC Civic Center during the Broadway productions. Like a lot of places, they also hire off duty/retired LEOs to provide an armed presence as well. I've gotten to know the ones they use regularly (all retired) which are a great group of guys and gals. (Even DTH would like them)

Anyway, one Officer in particular made a very profound, discussion ending statement about legal gun owners...

"There are over a hundred million lawful gun owners in this country. If they really wanted to be the problem, we'd all know about it."

Here endeth the lesson.

This is messed Up. Why was he arrested?

DALLAS — Authorities say a 72-year-old Dallas man fatally shot a suspected burglar behind his home and then went back to bed before finally calling police nearly two hours later.
The Dallas Morning News reports that James Michael Meyer has been charged with murder in the Thursday killing and was jailed on $150,000 bail as of Friday.

Maybe parent better and you won't need to worry for your kids. If you give your kids the right tools they'll most likely be fine. You can't legislate away everything. Attempts to do so create worse problems.

I’ve gotta ask , what utopian city do you live in where dangerous people , rapist , murderers , thugs and bodily assaults don’t happen every day ? You do know Trump didn’t cause us to bear arms , as a matter of stats and fact say progressive liberals cause more firearms to be bought in this country than anyone else .

No, bn...none of us live where "all of this dangerous s**t happens"...until it does.

I've been AT two shootings as an LEO in 26 years, 19 full-time. Never saw either one coming. Survived both. Not because of my superior marksmanship (FYI, I'm an average shot), but because I was mentally ready. The body cannot go where the mind has not been. You probably don't get that. You likely never will.

But rest easy. As the saying goes, you can sleep safe at night because good men are willing to do violence on your behalf.

Protect and Serve. Or Serve and Protect. Matters not what order you say it in. Bottom line: there are men and women out there who are well-prepared to do what you cannot, or will not. No shame there. Your kids are just as important to us are ours are.

So you be you. We've got your back.

Edit: to correct that I have been AT two shootings, not in. I've only fired once in self-defense.

I usually don’t say where that came from because of recent event but , Bill Cosby’s funniest show was him live in Las Vegas , He had me rolling and crying , it was as good , in my opinion, as one of Richard Pryors live shows .
