I didn't but I would imagine our electronics guy did. We run a combo of Garmin, Raymarine, and Furuno marine electronics (over 30 boats). In the past, we preferred the Raymarine RADAR, and the Garmin GPS. Furuno is, well...Furuno. With the recent developments of HD RADAR, CHIRP technology (Raymarine), and the broadband RADAR (SIMRAD), the game has changed. The new touchscreen Raymarine's are the equal of anything out there. Every time we get a new unit, we have to hold in-service training on it to learn what it is capable of.
Then again, I still have an old Raymarine E120 on one of my boats, and it's as good as the day we got it.
You can go broke trying to stay current in the current market for marine electronics.
