Gun control debate (merged)

Now we see exactly how a government sponsored digital currency would work except in everyday application. It will be fine , I’m sure our “ democratic “ government would never put stipulations or conditions on using their currency based on some societal credit score like China is currently doing now . 👀

That's fine for local transactions but not for Gunbroker type sales. Same with ammo. Online deals and availability are way better but you have to use card.
Yeah, I'm with you there. However, I do have a couple local connections that can compete with online ammo prices, especially when you account for shipping.

I don't see why not, that's a good idea.
Because those are licensed Visa/MC I think they too would be subject to the transaction classification.

Not sure PayPal allows purchase of guns/ammo. Going to have to noodle on this one. It will hurt the online retailers.

Paypal will shut down your account for firearm/weapons purchases; it's a usage violation.
Many Gunbroker dealers will accept MO or check.

Otherwise I've used PP for years with zero issues.
Thanks, did not know that.

I've bid on several things on Gunbroker over the years but have never won an auction.

What is “Amnesty Registration”?

Probably referring to the recent diktat on pistols (typically AR type) with shoulder braces; ATF has reclassified them as SBRs/short-barreled rifles (having a barrel shorter than 16") after years of being denoted as pistol w/brace. Under the NFA/National Firearms Act, SBR's require registration to get a tax stamp using ATF Form 1 and a $200 tax. I think the amnesty waives the $200 tax.

Appear ATF is also requiring DIY builds to be serialized.

It also includes frames and receivers for those who build their own.

Isn’t it funny that in the name of “ fixing gun problems “ it always comes down to more registration and paying more fees to the government ?
