Gun control debate (merged)

Getting pregnant only occurs to people who own vaginas.

But, if it pleases you, substitute any environmental change. I'll start: what if you have a treehouse? Do we need special treehouse insurance? Children fall out of them and break bones everyday.

Environmental? You're clearly not aware of the sexist glaciers.

I've known folks who've had them stolen from their vehicles. You can prevent such things by taking the appropriate measures though.

Oh yeah, last I checked theft is still a crime. So there you go.

The entire point of LG's argument in two short paragraphs. Stolen (against the law, I.e. a crime) is more politically acceptable to be expressed as lost. Legally sold is more politically correct when called lost. Either of these ideas are more readily sold to the ignorant masses if they are referred to as something that we all do accasionaly, lose things.

LG your argument is tired and as transparent as your boy barry's admin isn't.

I have listened to people seriously argue that if someone steals a gun from you and uses it in a crime you should be charged. The logic being thieves steal so you should know better and protect your stuff. Not that burglary is a crime, or breaking into to someone's house/car is a crime. Those are just normal things that thieves do. They were just going about their normal day, you're the one who should have been better prepared.

Background checks for all sales, including private non-commercial sales, insurance on firearms, tort reform that allows manufacturer and citizens who lose their firearms to be sued.
And I still want to know if you think lawyers that defend and 'exonerate' defendants that subsequently go out and harm someone else should bear any of that responsibility. I wonder why you don't think that worthy of an answer.

Nice to see an Army General that recognizes you don't need to test a platform for two years or have one undergo "development" for years on end for technology that already exists.

Army boss takes aim at bureaucracy over sidearm choices | Fox News

The Pentagon is currently mulling over a host of proposals to replace the M9 9mm sidearms soldiers have carried since 1985 - when those guns replaced the venerable Colt 1911s that had been fixtures for decades. Army Chief of Staff Gen. Mark Milley opened fire on the process at the Future of War Conference, saying he has asked Congress to grant service chiefs the authority to make the call.

Milley said at the conference that the program is an example of a bureaucratic system that makes it overly complicated to get field equipment to soldiers on the frontlines in a timely matter.

"The testing -- I got a briefing the other day -- the testing for this pistol is two years," he added. "Two years to test technology that we know exists. You give me $17 million on the credit card, I'll call Cabela’s tonight, and I'll outfit every soldier, sailor, airman, and Marine with a pistol and I'll get a discount on it for bulk buys."

Though I do worry sometimes about Fox News so called "experts" in this particular field towards the end of the article. While I love my 1911s, there are far better choices this day in age.

I hope you don't want to outfit all of them with a Judge based on my review.

Stay here long enough. LG makes that argument about every month or so.
