I got the same guitar for my oldest several years ago, but he stopped playing so it's now my travel guitar. Incredible sound and nice neck for such a compact and affordable instrument.
I picked up some Firebird pickups and I'm about to swap them into an Epiphone Coronet (currently dogear P90) and Wilshire (currently 2 soapbar P90s - gonna replace the neck). I'll post updates if it works out. Both these guitars are worth looking at if you like SGs but want something different.
