I have a tendency to agree with a few fans regarding King's article that peddling is a good description.
Only problem, the Fan Base will never give CDT the benefit of the doubt and it will be a continuous cycle of pointing out deficiencies in regards to team chemistry, on court playing, and coaching decisions.
Add to the fact that this team was projected in the bottom tier of the SEC, however fan expectations was not. This team has been sold with the new additions since Tyndall and Staff arrived.
Now what. The AD and administrators didn't properly vet? Somebody covered up or told a big whopping lie? Sour Grapes? All questions that will be discussed and answered during the season and as long as CDT is here.
There is no rally point for this coach and staff because there is not a season in the bank and if he and staff did something phenomenal this season this investigation will loom and fans will still be talking about CCM's departure, Pearl's shunning, recruiting and now a player or two lost from the team (Thompson). All the blame on Tyndall.
The Pearl thing will be always questioned as the what if.
What's so funny, without any knowledge of Tyndall's innocent or guilt some fans are stating to fire him and hire an interim Coach.
I can only hope that this is a Southern Mississippi issue and none of this bleeds into our program, but who are we kidding, CDT's innocent or guilt will not matter because it already has in the fan base, the media, and potentially the NCAA.
What a mess, some of you will beat your chest and claim you know how this will go down and the what ifs of CCM or CBP or old recruits or CDT. Bottom line is the Drama and hardheadedness of your actions.
Regardless of the results, guilty or innocent, its going to be a long season and fans are going to be split for a while regarding the state of Volunteer Basketball.
So argue away.
One other thing...Somebody stated that we could lose Scholarships as the result of Tyndall's actions at USM. No way and there is no precedent for that, is there. UTK will not be punished for actions Tyndall committed at Southern Miss with the exception of maybe a suspension.
