Nico didn’t lead us to playoffs. The defense did. He screwed himself. HE signed to play for Tennessee, not dad.We would have a similar record as we do now .
Joey had more passing yards and better QBR than Nico did as RSFr, but Nico kept the offense on the field longer.
We don't lose that Oklahoma game if Nico was at QB.
We probably get beaten by UGA by more than FG
Lose to Alabama maybe?
Lose to Arkansas at home. Because their offense was clicking all of a sudden.
Nico threw for 19 TDs. Joey has 23.
Nico threw 5 INTs. Joey has thrown 10.
Nico also ran for 11 1st down for Tennessee last season that kept drives alive, and led us to winning games. Joey did everything he could to beat UGA but we lost anyway.
NIco led us to the playoffs. Joey will not this season at least this season.
So far their scoring isn't all that disimaler individually. Nico in 13 games vs Joey with 11.
His father screwed him. You all are complaining about that for this one season. Nico has to live with that fact for the rest of his life....
That's tough. Have a little perspective on ANYTHING for once.
Yes sir I totally agree with your opinion. I also joined the military at 18 years old and my mother was totally against it because she had seen friends and family die in Vietnam, so she was convinced that I would wind up getting killed in combat. So ultimately when you become a man you have to make your own decisions. So either Nico still isn’t a man or he knew exactly what he was doing and used his family as a convenient scapegoat! I think it was the latter. Yes I believe he wanted to play Tennessee all along as fools . I have known lots of people from Southern California and most of them still think that East Tennessee is full of stupid hillbillies and rednecks. That’s what I think Nico really thought of us and TennesseeIt's not so much that the guy left. It's the way that he did it that bothers me. His intent was to screw over TN because they didn't give in to his demands. I don't buy into the "he's just a kid" argument. I was off to basic training a week after graduation and I was only 17. I was prepared to die for my country at his age not a multi millionaire. No sympathy at all.
Nico & his Fat@$$ daddy deserve any and all ridicule coming their way. They never gave a Flying Fook about Tennessee...they only cared about the $$$. I'm happy to see them both falling flat on their faces. #GBOI don't post much but OP that is a sad post. Celebrating kids to fail. Wow. Hopefully it makes you feel better about your life to see others struggle. If so, congrats. We all make good choices, we make bad choices. Let's see how it plays out. But rooting for the failure of others is pretty weak. The Vols had a great night... maybe be happy about that versus tearing others down.
I figured that some here would criticize my post and I applaud those of you that are such forgiving people. You would probably be the kind of people that would be against the death penalty for someone who brutally murdered a family member of yours ? I on the other hand grew up in the Pentecostal church in eastern Tennessee where people believe in an eye for an eye! Some of you act like the guy obsessing over an ex-girlfriend while trying to convince all your friends that you’ve moved on.
You misspelled Sampson, Nico didn't lead us anywhere. We would have a similar record as we do now .

Amen. Karma is a "Pelosi", as the old saying goesI don’t hate Nico, but I sure as hell don’t owe him any respect. He’s an adult. He knew what he was doing when he left the day before the spring game. Got a lot of bad advice. Strangely got “homesick” 3+ months after the 24 season ended for UT, after more than two years in Knoxville. Wasn’t an issue until then.
And it’s poetic justice that the guy he supplanted at UCLA becomes a star player for us, bigger than he ever was, at least in reality.
Sometimes it’s good to see people get what they deserve.
I do not buy the story that Nico led us to the playoffs. We would have a similar record as we do now .

Do kids have to re-sign scholarship papers yearly and do their parents have to sign off on them? Since they’re year to year it’s possible they do have to “re-sign” but at 20-21 do your parents have to sign off too? Point is, Nico could’ve told his dad to back down and that he wasn’t leaving and he didn’t. Nico didn’t have to travel to the UCLA-UO game last year on a bye week and subsequently those were 2 if not the only 2 he and or his camp reached out to. Big Nick has had a huge hand in ruining his kids career and reputation due to his own greed and blindness but Nico isn’t innocent either. As a fellow and proud alum, think about that post. Did you play football at UT? I did not.
But, at age 58, I can tell you that there is usually a whole lot more to the story than the story I hear.
The villain here is Nico’s dad. It’s not Nico.
Uhhhhhh.....Nico Imaleavin did NOT lead the Vols to the playoffs. He was very average at QB and I'll never understand how he had a 5* rating. We would have a similar record as we do now .
