Maybe it’s because JG CAN play well, he’s proven it before. Maybe the coach was trying to get him thru his slump, maybe it’s because other than JG we have no idea if the other QBs will succeed or are ready. I’d like to think if BM or JTS showed out in practice CJP wouldn’t be putting his team and himself thru all this scrutiny for nothing.

I mean I agree JG has played very poorly, and something needs to change. But to act like there’s a conspiracy going on to keep JG in no matter the destruction it would bring to UT/the Coaches is insane.

Well I am at a loss as to why Pruitt believes in jg. He has had 2 good games in his career at ut. And I couldn't keep from noticing a players response when Maurer was put in the game at Fla. He said, just relax and play your game this is not anything like practice. And I agree, maybe jg does do good in practice. But it doesn't matter how good you are in practice, if you can't do it in a real game, and jg has shown time and time and time again he can't do it in a real game consistantly.

Number two in stats, not counting points scored. Where did we stand in points scored. It certainly was not in points scored. By the way, that is how you win games, scoring more points than the other team. How many points did jg lead ut to against Fla. How many points has jg led ut to against Ga, the last two years, I think 13 points in two games. You cannot win this way. Time to move on and almost everyone knows this. Even Pruitt knows this, so I am at a loss to why jg is still playing at qb.

I personally think this is a good move. We don't know how Maurer will perform and you need JG to stay confident or at least get some confidence back in case we need him. I just hope they aren't quick to pull the trigger and remove Maurer for a mistake. Most of us wish he would've said this the first game when the shoe was on the other foot but he didn't.

Notice against Fla, Maurer played just two series, led us to the only score of the game the first series, threw an int. and was yanked. Whereas jg can make mistake after mistake and he is still qb.

Some people just don't have an understanding of the game of football. Stats such as jgs leads to not very many points. 2 sec wins in 3 years, thats the stat I look at. You have to score to win and the qb has more to do about that than any player on the team.

lmao. He didn't lose to GA State. The team did. The defense was the sole reason for that loss. He was 65% for over 300 yards. That should beat GSU.
Two years ago Dormady was the starter vs UGA JG came in and was 6/7. Last year vs UGA JG was 62% with 2 tds and no ints. So . . .
