I hear all of you, but what damage does it do if it turns out to be a load of crap? He isn't hosting some local yocal call-in radio show. He is on a show that is televised to a wide audience.

Damage, smamage. All he said was he was told that Gruden would be the first we contact if there was a coaching change. We contact, and either he accepts or refuses. No damage done. Grumors will go on regardless.

It’s gonna happen again. I’m gonna get sucked in. Somehow, I’m going to dismiss all logic and reason and convince myself that Jon Gruden is going to get hired, that this program is going to swing for the fences. Once convinced, I’ll cling to it until the bitter end. I’ll remain convinced that it’s real. And then, when they announce Dooley 3.0, I’ll just stare at the story on my screen with a blank sense of denial, followed by the remaining steps until acceptance.

It’s gonna happen again, and there’s nothing I can do about it.

I've got a tape collection. Cinderella, Ratt, Huey Lewis and the News, and Beastie Boys are just the tip of the iceberg. I still don't know enough to coach the team.

Here is the funny thing bout money. Once a person has accumulated more than they will ever spend, they start making decisions based on "what" they want to do, and not necessarily on "how much" (to an extent).

I wouldn't be surprised if Gruden is getting bored with MNF. He might be ready for the challenge of coaching again.

Now, I don't know if that would mean good things for us if he does. I always thought he would go back to the NFL.

Instead of discussing this topic in 2-3 different threads, I figured it needed its own thread for this discussion only!

I remember last time all of this happened, I got the opportunity to tour the new football complex. I got to go to Dooleys old office, saw a stool in there (no joke, got a picture somewhere). Walking down the hall from his office there was a room to the right with what looked like maybe a smallish film room, except with computers. There were two guys in there sitting at a computer going over what looked like game film. One guy was a youngish brown haired guy, the other with his back turned to the door was a blond guy with hair very much like Gruden and visor to boot. I knew it had to be Gruden at that time. I made myself look silly telling friends about it. No idea who it was because I didn't see the face but it was fun at the time.

I really think Finebaum is either trolling UT fans or trying to get ratings.
