Gruden says he never considered coaching at Tennessee

This nightmare never ends. I'm surprised somebody couldn't wait two weeks to post this, so we could have a Gruden thread in 2020.

A nightmare? A nightmare. Hmm. You've had a soft life.

And don't worry, we will have a 2020 Gruden thread. We definitely will. :)

Not sure if I can remember a more fitting username. Seriously. I wonder what the reasoning behind it really was?

First time I saw it I thought he was being facetious, because there is so much crying around here. But if that was it, whoa Lol, it backfahred. BTW, I don't believe its IknoxITrollVol. Jmo.

The first go round I said it wasn’t happening. Simple, as far as coaching jobs go Big time college football is the most work. Pruitt makes $5 mil a year which works out to about $15/hour. Jon Gruden was never gonna trade a cushy job on MNF for a college coaching position. NFL coaching is much less work.

I actually don't either, realized very quickly after i penned that idea that it doesn't sound right.

More generally, though, I do think he's a fan of some other SEC team, here to troll while pretending to be one of us. Doing an IknoxvolI without being IknoxvolI, so to speak.

LMAOOOOO
Can you even do basic math? If he literally worked 24/7 for the entire year and never stopped to eat or sleep, he'd still be making about $570/hour. Good grief.

How did you come up with that?

I was being facetious. And yes I can do basic math, beyond basic as a matter of fact.

If Gruden NEVER considered coaching the Vols, he's a f****** liar. And if he isn't the liar that he is, then he used us for fun n games.

Sometimes good things happen when bad people slop in their own mess.

I still don’t believe it. I bet he really did consider it, but just making us look bad because he didn’t end up here. Kind of like when the hot girl makes out with someone else....she was just ok anyhow.

Or like when a player commits to UT there is boomage everywhere and he's the missing piece.....and when he de-commits UT didn't need him and he was over-rated.

Gruden threads gave us hope and fun for a while when we needed some light at the end of the tunnel. Most of us knew it probably wasn't true, but it was an exciting distraction from hopelessness.
