The superbowl ring Dungy has on his hand is from a post season where Peyton threw 3 touchdowns to 7 interceptions, only had 6.8 ypa and a QB rating of 70.5.

Was hardly a show of greatness from Peyton. The comeback vs the Patriots was nice, but that was about it.

You forgot Super Bowl mvp

Which he received for 6.5 ypa, 1 td and 1 int with a 81.8 QB rating. That's 1.2 yards less per attempt than his regular season performance and a nearly 20 point QB rating drop.

Was hardly a great performance, but the only other "notable" performances were from Dominic Rhodes, who ran for 113 yards on 5.4 YPA with a score and Joseph Addai who ran for 77 yards on 4.1 ypa and also caught 10 passes for 66 yards.

Defense played well enough I guess but it was more Rex Grossman and the Bears offense sucking than it was the Colts D excelling.

Manning got the award because he's Peyton Manning and the position he played, piled on top of the fact that everyone kinda sucked short of Rhodes and Addai.

As a man who married a Cali girl I can attest to the fact that San Diego has a fine selection of "*****es".

Good friend of mine was born and raised in San Diego. Said he still has those Al Bundy like dreams about some of the women.

You're pretty much spot on. I'm trying to think of a "worse" performance for an offensive MVP. The weather stunk that night in Miami and the game was pretty ugly.

Only Chuck Norris can do more.

We got Butch, and I'm happy with it. Gruden will always be a guy that says nice things about the Tennessee program, and that's great.

And I like that.. He always mentions Tennessee.. Good to have a MNF guy talk bout us..

I agree. I don't know anyone who has been or is a coach that would rather be a commentator. Unless it's another reason, perhaps $$$$$!

John Madden, Bill Cowher, and Tony Dungy are three that pop to mind.
