Forget all the noise that surrounds Gruden and rumors of the past regarding coaching - that guy knows QB'S, and if he says Dobbs is special I believe him:

“I saw something special in Dak Prescott last year and, I’m not saying I’m always right, but I see it in Josh Dobbs too,”

My biggest hope for Josh is that the right team drafts him and gives him a chance to develop in the right system. He has all the talent in the world to play in the NFL - hopefully he gets a fair shot.

My hope is that Josh Dobbs get's drafted and sit's and develops for a year or 2 before being thrown in with the wolves. Hopefully he gets drafted by a team with a older QB and can learn and develop from him. Here are the list of teams I would love for him to go to.
*Jets- I can see him being sucessful here. They have major QB issues right now and he could see playing time as early as this year if he was drafted. They have Decker and Enunwa which aren't that bad.
*Steelers- Man oh man I can vision a Dobbs led steeler offense right now and it sounds deadly. Imagine Dobbs, Bell, and Brown all together at one time. It would be almost impossible to stop that offense. Plus training under big ben would be a really good thing.
*Chargers- Phillip Rivers is starting to get old and the Chargers are going to need a QB for their future. Josh Dobbs would look great in a chargers uniform, and the chargers usually have a good RB and decent receivers historically.
*Rams- Jared Goff is not going to be an NFL QB. Jeff Fisher seen that before the season even started last year. Once Goff finally took over, he stunk. Granted he didn't have much to work with, but he Did have Kenny Britt who just scammed the browns out of $30M.
*Cardinals- Carson Palmer is getting old and nearing retirement. This would be a perfect oppurtunity for Dobbs to take over when Palmer leaves. They have a good RB in David Johnson and always have a solid core of WR's.
*Saints- Dobbs being drafted by the saints would not surprise me one single bit. Brees is getting old and also nearing retirment. Brees would provide veteran and elite coaching to Dobbs.

Play calling and scheme had something to do with his development of the long ball.

What people are saying is give him the right system to learn in - he has the tools to be successful in the NFL.

His offensive line was garbage for the most part of his sophomore and his junior season. We never really got to see josh dobbs in the pocket for more than 2 seconds without him fleeing for his life or getting drilled.

To be successful, he needs to go to a team that has good ownership such as G.B., Pitt, Giants, Dallas. If he goes to a team like Buffalo, S.F., Jacksonville, Jets, etc, then he will be destined for failure

I wouldn't mind my packers using a comp pick on him. Sit behind Rodgers and get his feet wet in blowouts.

I too would love for him to be a packer but Rodgers just turned 33 so I'm not sure how much opportunity he would get there. But speaking of the Packers they are in desperate need of running backs. Kamara there would really make me happy. I think Dobbs ends up in New Orleans.

Guess you missed where he absolutely torched a Florida secondary with legit NFL talent to lead us to 38 unanswered. Dobbs is far from perfect as a passer, but he's a gamer and leader. He's definitely underappreciated on this forum.

Did you just wake up from a coma and miss the Florida game?

I believe Dobbs scored 50% of the passing TDs they gave up all season.

Stop with the lies. Dobbs can beat elite defenses with his arm. He proved that against Florida last year.

Chiefs...please take Dobbs
That would be a good fit. A solid franchise. Good veteran coach. He could sit and learn from a entrenched starter in Alex Smith and maybe push him in a year or so, but hate seeing him go to one of my Raiders biggest rivals. I will pull for Josh no matter what. Just not against the Raiders.

I do think Josh can be -at the very least--a solid backup QB in the NFL who can win games. Maybe more.

Whether some folks want to admit it or not, Dobbs was and still is under appreciated by the fanbase. He was a huge part of the reason on why our offense scored a ton of points.

So what happens if Dobbs gets drafted, the starter gets hurt and has to sit a few games so Dobbs gets thrown to the wolves... and he does very well?

Can everyone finally question Butch and his offense then? Because I could easily see Dobbs being an above average QB on the right team.

I've been saying this for a long time. At this time last year many on here were acting like he was the one holding the team back when in reality he was the best player on the team by a wide margin.

We already know Butch Jones is a terrible coach.

No. he was terrible for the first two years and it had nothing to do with the offense Jones ran. If fact, the offense was probably why Dobbs did so well the last half of his junior year and his senior year. The spread gave him the opportunity to to see the field and use his running ability when the plays blew up. Dobbs should give Jones a lot of credit for his stats.

Hello Butch Jones.

I hope you have the moving van ready cause you are getting fired after this season if you underperform once again.
