He is a good sportscaster though
Truthfully, he is about the best on there.
That being said...Bama.
Now I really hate him.

Mcilroy does his homework. I might catch hell for this considering he's a bammer, but he's the best the SEC network has. Can't stand booger and Tebow annoys the s*** outta me with the way he flails his arms constantly when he's trying to explain things.

Unless its David Pollack. I never ever give a rats arse what an "analyst" says but he is the most subjective analyst I've ever heard.
I'm throwing up in my mouth a little bit while typing this but I agree. A Bammer is better than watching some axx clown from the Big 10 or a Golden Domer (thats not a sex act freak so calm down)I have been very impressed with Mcilroy. I agree he is the best on the SEC network. At the moment I can't think of anybody on ESPN that's been better this year. You can tell how much he truly loves the tradition and rivalries in this conference. Kudos to the big dogs that got him on the network. And I have to say Marcus Spears is starting to grow on me also.
McElroy does an awesome job! He's objective, intelligent and best of all audible. I'd love to see him replace Desmond on Gameday which won't happen but he should be the front runner to replace Corso when he hangs it up IMO. He's by far the best the SEC network has and is already better than Pollack and Palmer. Pollack whines too much and lets his emotions get too involved. The dude has a future and I hope they keep him around as long as possible.
The poster who mentioned his passion for the conference is spot on. He never faced a "good" UT team but he clearly recognizes our place in history and is complementative of that. The way he speaks of all SEC schools regardless of history or present situations is refreshing. He loves this conference and it shows in his work.
