Greenland

Arrogance with a bunch of stupidity. Europeans are one notch above Ukraine right now, way down the totem pole.

I can't say I agree with all this, but they are proving the Orange man right.
They’re banding together at least. Finally the EU getting some nuts. Invading Ukraine didn’t do it. Cucks get strength in numbers

When does it dawn on people that it’s not a “backtrack”. It’s the way he communicates. Everything that happens from the second he wakes up is a negotiation.
Unlike you MAGA, I don't make excuses for TrumPutin's lies, incompetence, greed, and taste for unlicensed drilling in teeny oil fields.

You got to be kidding. Johnson is a clown
Exhibit 1A why nothing can be discussed rationally. No, he is not a clown. Listen to him instead of what someone else says about him. Instead of immediately jumping into attack mode, why not make the case why he is not suitable?

But, but, but HE'S A CLOWN! Thanks for adding nothing.

Another MAGA playing dumb. Typical of MAGA twisting word to delay, excuse, deny - no wonder Luigi did what he did.
Free Luigi, impeach Trump. Luigi at DuckDuckGo

My question is why do the Europeans care now? They were completely fine with how this works before.

Afghanistan
Iraq
Iran
Syria
Libya
Venezuela
Vietnam
Panama
Nigeria
Somalia
Yemen
Uganda
Grenada
Russia
Ukraine
etc

This excludes everyone the U.S. and Europe has been putting sanctions -- too many to name at this point.

Well, Rubio is not on the table. And the comment about a potted plant does not indicate seriousness. We have one choice, period, unless you think there is a possibility of implementing the plan J. W. Booth had.

If wishes were on the table, I'd be for Speaker Mike Johnson. I really think he'd bring a badly needed level-headedness to the country. But I really do not think a lot of people want that. They'd much rather have chaos.
Vance is apparently not insane so he's got that going for him, but not much else The way Johnson grovels before Trump and presents himself in public is very off-putting. It would be good to know what his own ideas are since all I've seen from him is lip service to Trump.

If anyone attacks or invades Greenland, NATO is obligated to defend them. It's protected as of now. The only immediate threat they face is from the US, which is bizzare.
It's the way Trump operates, he starts from the extreme to negotiate towards what he really wants. But on the world stage, publicly, this is over the top. Embarrassing and not even needed.

Vance is very smart guy. I believe he would continue similar policies as Trump, quietly chuck a few of the nutty ones. Question is could he pivot from a year of Trump and if the left is so far down the road they would attack Jesus Christ?

I think Johnson has fairly adroitly walked a narrow line. He cannot openly oppose the President or the 41% will call for his head. When I've listened to his press conferences, the guy does a pretty darn good job. He's managed a difficult Congress.

Vance is indeed smart but he's shady even for a politician. I don't trust him as far as I could throw his corpulence.

It's weird you are trying to minimize actual historical facts, just because Trump is involved with it now.

I don't agree with how Trump is doing it, but other Presidents and their Administrations have considered purchasing, annexing, or taking Greenland by force
If you say so. I've never read about that before. Doesn't mean it hasn't happened, just news to me.

Got to be more to it than that. Ukraine has been a pretty eye opening thing to watch. Most probably assumed it would be over in a week.
Logistically they can't do it. The US can. Just look at theirs refueling capabilities. US has more refueling aircraft than they have fighters (maybe). USA can project power anywhere in less than 24 hours and sustain it indefinitely. Russia or China could get to Greenland, maybe, but could never hold it. Ukraine is eye opening showing Russias capabilities, or lack there of.

Yeah he ain't coming back from this circus.
The job of the VP is to support POTUS’s agenda. And Vance is absolutely fine with doing that. He’s enthusiastic even. Thus if Vance does what is expected of any prior VP then he will largely inherit the view people have of Trump. And I don’t think Vance has a dynamic enough personality to separate himself from Trump.

The hope for 2028 right now at least I think lies on Rubio. He’s conducting himself well right now in navigating the political steaming pile of 💩 minefield his boss is laying down. If he continues as he is now I think he’s the nominee in 28.

The wild card here is if for any reason Trump vacates office before 28 would Rubio try to primary him. I’d guess that’s a hard no. Thus would Vance and Rubio be able to come to an agreement for Rubio to be VP
