Greenland

On camera isn’t policy. IMO it’s mostly sending a message to our adversaries. You seem to believe that an invasion of Greenland is the plan.

Also, look closer at what has actually been said publicly rather than believing the left leaning media’s distorted headlines.

So we should not take what the White House Press Secretary says, to be the position of the White House?

You're really tying yourself in knots here.

Denmark has told Trump that Greenland is not for sale, so what other option than forcibly (annexing) taking control of the Island would bring it under US control?

So in the end & if Greenland does decide to become part of this great America
then what are you going to do? You gonna deal with the reality of it or still whine & cry?

Again, understand the exact comment instead of believing what the media is force feeding you.

Negotiating directly with Greenland instead of Denmark. The Danes declaring that it isn’t for sale isn’t the end of the process.

This seems all very unrealistic unless he goes Normandy without the troops because no troops would be required.

I don't see why anyone should have a problem with a purchase if they agree, it just seems very unlikely.

Lol, the US engaging in promoting unilateral secession (from a territory belonging to one of our allies) via monetary intervention.

Nothing could possibly go wrong with that Pandora's box.

People shouldn't have the ability/right to secede?

Well, we fought a war over it, and decided that no, a state cannot secede.

As to the rest of the world, are you coming out in support of wealthy nations, using monetary power to foment session in foreign countries?

There is no room for misinterpreting comments made by both Donald Trump and Stephen Miller.

The media isn't to blame for their militarism and over-heated tone. They have been unnecessarily provocative and disrespectful with Denmark, a staunch American ally. It's absurd. In particular, Stephen Miller ignorantly rants and raves about things that he clearly has no experience in dealing with. That's not diplomacy. He often talks like Roy Cohn (Sen. Joe McCarthy's henchman) would during the Red Scare.

The pro-Trump crowd wants to blame the media for spinning and/or editorializing comments from these two .... but that's not what is happening. No "force-feeding" is necessary here. Trump and Miller don't need anyone's help, in making fools of themselves, while demonstrating that they have no comprehension of how to conduct diplomacy. The Trump Administration only knows how to get what they want through intimidation, threats and straight up bullying.

Somebody in the administration should write some poems for Denmark and China.

Denmark needs to invest in and manage that territory instead of acting like the Greenlanders’ slum lord.

I’m sorry that you’ve chosen to ignore the obvious agenda coming from a biased, partisan media.

If a people decide to secede from a country peacefully then no war should be fought. Plus Greenland is not a "state" of Denmark it's a territory, should PR or Guam or any other of our territories not be allowed to secede or should we forcibly keep them under our control?

Sure, I'd rather territory be purchased instead of conquered militarily.

I'm not going to argue semantics with you.

It's a simple question, do you support countries trying to use their monetary power to foment session in other countries?

Support? No I don't support it but I also don't have a problem with it. I absolutely do not support forcing a people to secede or stay in a nation.

LOL.

I'm not ignoring anything, but you are wanting to deflect blame away from Trump and Miller for their own rhetoric. The media didn't force them to say anything or put words in their mouths. The language coming from Trump and Miller on Greenland / Denmark has been unprofessional, antagonistic, over-heated and disrespectful. That's not how the United States should be conducting diplomacy with allies. We are better than this .... or at least, we should be. Sen. Thom Tillis is right. These clowns don't speak for all of us. Thank God.

The pro-Trump crowd wants to make everything the fault of the media. It has become a crutch. This has nothing to do with the media. We have an egomaniac for President, who has hired "Yes, Men" sycophants to implement foreign policy. Stephen Miller is a cartoonish idiot who has become an embarrassment to the United States. That interview on CNN was insanity.

Then I tacitly support it. I believe in choice.

Choosing to secede, when there is a legal mechanism to do so, isn't the same as a foreign leader offering residents cash to demand secession so for the explicit purpose of joining the country paying them.

Basically, the U.S. is saying your land is our land. Capital controls, force controls, piracy, bombing, etc. seems kind of like the end of the USSR at this point as to global finance. So, you have to use the petro dollar, but we don't want you to sell your petro dollars, and we will cut you off if we like but if you trade under other currencies that not okay either.

Wait until someone tells him that Russia already is our neighbor.
