has Trump even reached out about building a new base, or increasing the existing assets on the island?
your point would make sense if there had been some breakdown that needed correcting. but Trump is "fixing" a problem that didn't exist, and thus created the problem.
the current deal is pretty freaking robust. what more is needed?IMO, with Russia and China already having a more active military presence in the area, is that the US military will be unleashed there if they (R or C) attempt to gain any real estate (or access or minerals) there. I don’t see the comments as a threat to Denmark or Greenland. Just a reminder that R and C won’t be allowed to exploit the area as they did with the Panama Canal and South America.
We don’t know what he’s said directly to Denmark or Greenland. What’s gained by playing out negotiations through the media? We certainly need to invest militarily there and having a more robust agreement in place first is the ideal procedure. But we will build up our defenses there no matter what. It isn’t negotiable.
BTW, f*** the CCP. I haven’t said that recently.
Oh come on. He's the POTUS schilling **** coins, that basically amount to Hunter Biden paintings, from the WH. He also pardoned CZ to help his sons.He didn’t create the crypto feeding frenzy. But he’s an entrepreneur that’s identified an opportunity so his family is promoting a CC coin as are thousands of others.
He’s a real estate developer that has transitioned into branding over several decades. His family just has bigger deals than we’re used to observing. Percentage wise the Biden’s, especially Hunter, have been better at booking the profits.
Based on what exactly?
Russia's Navy is literally hot garbage outside of a hand full of submarines that are just missile platforms, and China's navy has never ventured into the North Atlantic near Greenland.
Oh come on. He's the POTUS schilling **** coins, that basically amount to Hunter Biden paintings, from the WH. He also pardoned CZ to help his sons.
And? They still haven't been sending them near Greenland, and so what if they did? China isn't occupying Greenland with a fleet of submarines.
Do you communicate with Chinese submarine commanders?
What’s their plan then for building up a substantial naval presence? Should our response be to ignore them or to counter with a more secure northern access point to the western hemisphere?
What substantial naval presence are they building up in the North Atlantic near Greenland?
How would us annexing Greenland, stop China from building ships and submarines, in Chinese waters?
The mental gymnastics you are trying to employ here, are not helping your argument.
Calling it “annexing Greenland” is extreme mental gymnastics.
They got to build the subs before they deploy them. I seriously doubt that most of their coming, expanded nuclear fleet will stay near their SE Asia real estate.
Lol, So you want to play a semantics game?
What word would you suggest we use to describe a situation where a country forcibly incorporates territory that belongs to another country?
I'll ask again, how would the US (annexing) taking ownership of Greenland, stop China from continuing to build ships and subs in Chinese waters?
We’re now forcibly incorporating the Greenland territory? You mean physically taking it? I must have missed that part.
Having a base is different than having control of a region. Keeping communism out of the hemisphere has been the goal for a long time. We actually have a POTUS now that is strategizing and acting to achieve the desired outcome.
Are you being willfully obtuse, or are you really this ignorant when it comes to the rhetoric that that White House has spewed concerning Greenland?

U.S. military action an option to acquire Greenland, White House says
President Donald Trump's renewed interest in Greenland comes days after the U.S. arrest and extraction of Venezuela's Nicolás Maduro.www.nbcnews.com
In spite of saying "IMO, with Russia and China already having a more active military presence in the area", you've provided zero evidence that supports your belief in this nonsense.
So the administration sat around discussing EVERY possible approach and you’re going to run with the fear mongering spin coming from NBC? Okay.
Wow, I mean, I knew that you were being disingenuous in your original argument, but I'm truly impressed; that's some serious 1984 "don't believe your eyes and ears" defense that you're employing here.
You’re embracing the fear mongering. Are we about to invade Greenland? Or did our leadership discuss the extreme options of last resort that are being spun as THE plan?
Option of last resort? Last resort being that we want to forcibly (annex) take control of Greenland?
Denmark as already told Trump to *, concerning Greenland, so what other option is there than the "option of last resort"?

White House says using US military ‘always an option’ for acquiring Greenland | First Thing
Trump demands Venezuela open up to US oil companies or risk more military action. Plus, justice department has released less than 1% of Epstein fileswww.theguardian.com
If you can't acknowledge the reality of the existing on-camera statements by the spokesperson for this administration, then there's really no point in continuing to discuss the subject with you.
Datacenters, nuclear, mining, industrial zone, etc.I don't even know what Trump would gain from acquiring Greenland other than him wanting the personal glory of being the first president since 1867 to acquire new land/create a new US state. Denmark is a good ally. Why jeopardize that? We already have everything we would want from Greenland anyways.
