great win but slightly disappointed

Meh.

We still have a big game next week

Keep everyone healthy once the game was outta control.

Always remember that one day we are gonna be the ones sitting in the shoes Florida is wearing tonight. Meaning one day we will suck again and Florida would be able to run up the score if they wanted to.
We have been there many times! I would just like to win period.

31 points in the first half and nothing the entire second half after the announcers got done saying Heupel never lets off the gas and shows no mercy.

I wish we had beaten these guys by 60 to make up for all the years of losing.

good game
good win.
I talked to a South Carolina fan and he said he was telling his buddy at game we need to keep foot on gas. We're up 31 to 3 but lets not let up but trying to run score up on A&M backfired, got them beat. Sometimes taking the W on the road is best thing to do especially if the opposing team is running the ball and clock and basically accepting the L, you don't want to give them any signs of life with a pick 6 or something of that nature.. The only way you get beat with that lead is multiple turnovers.

Florida hasn't beat us since 2023 and will not beat us next year and the streak is ongoing to the 2030s and beyond.

This thread idea is beyond absurd. Only an imbecile complains about a conference win where you're leading 31-0 at the half (!) on the road and essentially make the second half garbage time, taking the air out of the ball and playing a lot of reserves. We treated a fierce rival as if it was a FCS team, for crying out loud - in their building where we hadn't won in 20 years!

The worst thing about social media is giving a voice to fools who don't know when to just not hit the 'send' button.

Of course we always want more, but we had backup players getting real reps in a road SEC rival game, the toughest environment outside the playoffs, against their starters. I consider that valuable for the next time we are there.

I have no disappointment, last night was cathartic and it also was the last game we play them as an annual opponent. We wouldn’t have had another shot at ending the streak in the swamp for four years. My only disappointment this year is that UGA slipped through our fingers when it was in reach, everything else has been expected or better than expected based on pre-season. Let’s ruin Vandys historic season, get a quality no -playoff bowl and get another 10 win season.

I wanted 40 to 50 but Coach Heuple isn't a deuce bag. UF has a intern coach lots of back up players. Vols won by 3 TDs and could have scored at will. So I am good with the Vols coach not being a POS. I was a little irritated during the game dam beer 😂

Once he realized UF was milking clock and ready to get out of there after a fg after a 10 minute drive, we said ok we can do that. Almost like the coaches had a mutual agreement. Run the clock, let’s run about 20 fewer plays and save the pounding and get outta here with a 3 score W.

I would say UT stayed aggressive, obviously not in the big play down the field and scoring sense, but for ONCE the Vols dominated the line of scrimmage. The success in the running game and the short passing game and literally dominating the line of scrimmage Tennessee laid a demoralizing defeat on the Gators. Having a team dominate you on the line of scrimmage and not giving you the ball back is a lot more demoralizing than beating somebody 50 to 3

This post is dumb and doesn’t even make sense
it makes perfect sense unless you have an extra chromosome. BVS is when you always expect to lose. I never expect to lose. I always have the expectation to win therefore I do not have BVS

the BVS fans are all happy we actually won when they thought we could never win there.

The amount of “men” not wanting an absolute curb stomping is disappointing but expected in this new era of softness.
We wanted it too but we now have the option to accept the 20 point win or whine like little bishes about something thats over and done with.

We chose to be happy with what we have no control over. Not sure how that equates to softness but cool. Saying stupid chit seems to be the norm around here. Lol.

I suffer from BVS and I am a card-carrying member of the LoM, but I've seen us hang 35 in a hurry, then slow the game down and lose or almost lose the game in the second half a few too many times.

Plus, the highlight films that CBS used to show before the game of us losing in heartbreaking fashion on several occasions to the gators is permanently burned into my brain. I always watch this game with bated breath, waiting for the proverbial other shoe to fall yet again.

As much as I wanted to see us hang 700 points on the Rotags last night, I've come around to CJH's line of thought in seeing that we'd already beat the hell out of them; no need to hang a billion on the scoreboard and get people hurt, etc.

We dominated the Gators in the first half.

Whipped them on both sides of the LOS.

Defense had no issue containing Lagway and the offense.

And we destroyed them in field position.

The second half we were just playing against the clock. That was one of JH’s best wins. We suffocated the Gators. Stadium was empty by mid Q3.

I don’t get the complaining.
