He balled out. If it wasn’t for his 11 straight points in the late 1st qtr/early 2nd qtr the C’s would not have been in the game. He’s carved out a nice role off the bench and has really improved his 3 ball.
I'm not comparing him to Dale Ellis as an NBA player but he is following a similar path. A guy that played inside at UT but has morphed into a 3 and D guy in the NBA. He has lost some muscle but gained some quickness this year and it is paying off.
Grant is just so dang smart in the court. I read where the HC lived from day 1. Hope he can become automatic.from 3. In this bball age you have to stretch D's and defend it.
Tatum is actually taking fewer shots/gm through these first two games in the playoffs since the 2018-2019 playoffs. 17 shots/gm is not a lot for a star player in the NBA. You want your two best players taking half the shots. There’s still 40 shots for the rest of the team. Marcus Smart is the guy on that team that can get a little crazy with the amount of shots he takes sometimes. He plays great defense though so you can live with it to a certain extent.
Funny I havent watched a NBA game in 30 years but we were in a hotel room and my wife found it scrolling though the channels and we saw GW so watched it. What a great representative of our University a true VFL.
