Heartbreaking loss yesterday. I feel great about our season. But, 3-0 woulda been far better than 2-1. We just couldn't close it out the last 5 minutes and resulting OT. Proud of our Vols for leaving it all out there. I believe every goal we have for the season is still in front of us. Let's get healthy and use this for motivation going forward!
That being said and I'm not sure anyone wants to hear it. But ... Kirby Smart had 0 fake injuries yesterday. We ran our pace offense for longer dominant drives on 2 or 3 occasions. Not once did a UGA player fake an injury to stop a drive.
I've never been a CKS fan. Especially the way he acts like a sugar laden child on the sidelines often.
But, these discussions have gone on @ how to fix this problem ad nauseam. As bad as it pains me to say it, I have to give credit to Smart for not succumbing to the temptation in a huge game against the poster child offense for fake injury. Kudos for setting the example if we're actually gonna fix this problem.
Now, I hope you lose every game in the future of CFB (well exc ND, OSu, or UM)
. But, I certainly gained some respect yesterday.
<Apologies if too soon>
