Got a bad feeling about Vandy

I actually predicted 8-4 before the season, but when we got more production out of Aguilar and the offense than expected, I think expectations adjusted for everyone. The disappointment comes from the defense falling so far short of expectations. If the defense had even been serviceable, this could have been a playoff team again.

I am in no way calling for JH to be replaced, but how much more mileage are we going to get out of the “remember how bad it was when he got here” narrative? We’re five years in. It’s time to let that go.

Well, be careful what you wish for. What are you replacing Heupel with? Do you have an extra $90 million for an “Upgrade”, because that’s the new bar that’s been set.

Well I’d didn’t expect such a **** show from the offense to be fair. I thought we’d win like 55-35 lol

This also is not a post you want to be right about it regardless so the thread has no reason to be bumped.

I posted that I thought Vandy was a solid team and felt like they wanted it more and would upset Tennessee. Everyone made fun and said we would beat Vandy “that’s what we do”. The Vols overlooked a better team and got blown out of their own house. I would have been happier to be wrong, but my picks are usually pretty good.

Is he the guy who can get us to the championship? Get real! How many championships has Tennessee sniffed in the last 75 years?

The two widely recognized are 1951 and 1998. (Then 4 “self claimed” including 1967).

How many Championships do you expect? How often? Because with NIL and the Transfer Portal the Alabama and SEC dominance days are over. There is parity. And kids and coaches will go where the money is. Decades of Dominance are a thing of the past.

When did I say “Is CJH the guy to bring us a decade of dominance?”

Also, if you don’t think CJH can win a championship, then why hire him or KEEP him.

I hate to say this, but I have a really bad feeling about the Vandy game. This ain’t your grandma’s Vandy. They’re a solid team. Overlooking them is a mistake.

They have 2 road losses. One to Alabama and one to Texas by 3. Both games the officials calls were awful.

Vandy is highly motivated. A win over Tennessee and a little help gives them a shot at making the playoffs. The Vols are only playing for a better bowl.

I hate to say this and I REALLY hope I’m wrong, but I see Vandy pulling the upset.

Reality is Reality! Wanting to be right or wrong doesn’t matter.
