Got a bad feeling about Vandy

Who would be overlooking them for? We have no idea who we will play in the bowl game so i don't see how you can overlook your last opponent.

Also they basically loss to Texas by 17. They put a couple garbage time TDs up to make it look more respectable

If this game plays out to script, we jump out to early lead, possibly two score lead...we take foot off pedal and try to shorten the game, and Vandy catches up to make it a game in Q4. I think this game will be who can win Q4. If we are rushing the ball in second half to balance passing, and avoid gash plays on D, I think we end up winning by 2 scores.

I think Candy is about to run into a buzz saw. All indications have been our boys know how important this game is and Heupel doesn’t want some upstart from down the road pissing on all the progress he has made in Tennessee recruiting. This is our state, Candy just lives in it.

It’s fair to be concerned as this isn’t the same Vandy and this isn’t a expected standard TN defense. Several qbs have had their best games of the season against us.
Jerry Kill v Banks isn’t an ideal matchup.
Should come down to a couple turnovers and which team takes advantage. We do not need another game where we take then give up the lead 5-6 times.

Our defense has been awful for most of the year. Thats the main thing I worry about. But Vandy has a pretty terrible pass defense, so we should be able to have success through the air. Just bottle Pavia up like we did last year and dont let him beat you with his legs and we should win this game. Hoping the crowd can play a factor also.

IMO, this game will determine if this season is a success or not. A loss would mean TN went 0-4 against the good teams on the schedule, and 8-0 against the bad ones. The SEC teams we’ve beaten this year are a combined 5-26 in conference play. Going 0-4 in the most important games (losing 3 of them at home) would be difficult to not look upon as a failure.
