Wendy's raising minimum wages paid, raising prices, and laying off. Good for them!

McD's also experimenting with self serve kiosks.

Good for them indeed.

When I used to do a ketosis diet (cut out carbs cyclically) I would go to Wendy's to break the diet and I would eat 4 JBCs, fries, nuggets, and a shake...every Friday after the gym. I miss that. It was euphoria.

Be glad you're young. That kind of thing catches up to you with age.

I am a macronutrient counter. If it fits your macros (IIFYM). It's based off of protien, fat, and carb intake along with your goals. Cut, bulk, or maintain.

I don't really focus on getting a certain intake mix. I found it's easiest to just track what you eat (watching is lazy - I keep a spreadsheet and it makes me so much more mindful) and the rest takes care of itself. You find good substitutions (like using 60 calorie bread slices instead of 120 calorie BSs to make a sandwich).

And the key to making it easy is you just have to break a few bad habits and you can transform yourself. For me, I had to make sure there is no cold cereal, soda, chips, or cookies in my house. That's it. I can basically have whatever else in my house and I will eat in reasonable moderation (and then I eat all that stuff on the weekends). I still have a few bad habits. I always have beer in the fridge, but I'm still down 20 lbs from where I started 2 years ago.

Is that similar to the Atkins diet? Damn, the lack of energy...
My wife and I did the Atkins in college. I remember seeing her one day and she was crying because she was so miserable. We went to Sam & Andy's. Turkey and smoked cheddar on dark with pickle and peppers did the trick. That diet isn't healthy

They went downhill about the time they went to coke.

The home style filet -mayo, biggie fries and my dew was where it was at. Now they have come and their fries suck. I still go about once a year or so. I wonder how much they'll raise the prices.

Most everything you eat will fit into your macronutrient requirements. Everything is dictated by moderation and portion control. You know, instead of a whole pizza only eat a couple slices.

I do something similar. Controlled and tracked caloric intake through the week and then eat whatever I want on weekends. Might not work for everyone, but has allowed me to maintain weight since losing 50lbs 15 years ago.
