I was in Tokyo in 2008, and I saw a Japanese girl across the street wearing head-to-toe Lady Vols gear, including sneakers, track suit, etc. I ran over there and said "Go Vols!" to her. She got really freaked out, and then she literally turned around and ran the other direction. Later, my wife told me that it's highly likely that the poor girl had no idea what I was talking about, had never heard of the Vols, and was just wearing a pretty orange track suit. So... yeah.
