nah, we're the college version of Cubs and Red Sox before they started playing better. I feel like I'm back in the late 70's-early 80's again. Difference is, even when we were bad then, Johnny had players you have to game plan for...Willie Gault, Anthony Hancock, Johnny Jones. I honestly don't know where you start on offense. D's going to be probably average, but doesn't matter if you can't post 24ish points a game at minimum. Problem #1, even w/ bad QB play this year, is it was an opportunity to establish our identity w/ our OL to be at least good at something...running the ball. We didn't do that, so, we're going into another off season w/ no identity and I don't know, other than #11, what jersey number kids would want to buy for current ball club.UT FB will die from lack of interest.

Even by the standards of Volnation, this is a depressingly defeatist mindset. LOL.I don't get excited about top recruits signing any more. I know that they will be under-utilized and poorly developed under this staff, and we'll have a plethora of threads next season asking 'why they aren't performing up to their star rating', with the same ol' cadre for Volnation posters blaming everyone and everything except the coaches.
Rinse, repeat.
We've had Top 20 recruiting classes for most years since..... I dunno......2008? Sometimes Top 10, even Top 5 recruiting classes.Even by the standards of Volnation, this is a depressingly defeatist mindset. LOL.
I can't believe guys here have a hard time understanding why this "piss and moan fest" about Pruitt is happening. He's DESTROYING the UT football program...and is by far the worst head coach in Vol history. Is that reason enough? Losing at Neyland by 27 points to Kentucky of all teams? And the gap between us and Ga..Fla...and Bama getting wider and wider. A coach...in his 3rd year mind you...setting a school record for consecutive double digit losses? Of course we're gonna continue to harp on what is obviously the #1 impediment to getting out of this embarrassing free fall. Every moment Pruitt remains the head "coach" the Vol football program erodes and atrophies a little bit more. A backwoods...mildly retarded idiot who has absolutely zero clue how to win in the SEC. Yeah...let's just shut about it and accept the demise and tragic disaster of a once proud program.
Some truth here. Not from our generation (30 somethings) but our kids. My kid and my nephew have 0 interest in TN football. My son asked if Clemson and Alabama were pro and we were minor league. That one hurt.UT FB will die from lack of interest.
People, if you really feel this way, nothing is keeping you from leaving, don't let the door hit you on the way out. If you think a few 1000 unhappy fans are going to change anything....well....it won't.
The only enjoyment I get from Tennessee football is coaching searches. They inevitably go horribly wrong, but they are fun for awhile. Soon.
If I thought it was for a humanitarian topic, sure, but do you put this much effort at work? If you fail at work or you are late, is that your fault or your supervisor's?I just love how people like you say “don’t let the door hit you on the way out”!
Change comes from people fighting and being vocal about issues.
Just sit back drink your old fashions, eat you wrapped candies, and let us vent. You sound like an old man that hates the kids on his lawn.
The love for the university is there, just not the piss poor product on the field.
