Give me your Top 3 canidates...

I've been saying its Chip Kelly then everyone else.

If this program is serious about winning they'll do everything in their power to get Chip Kelly here.

Chip Kelly makes us contenders day 1 he's on the job.

Which means stay the **** away from Chip Kelly.

That job is a real hard climb

Agreed, and he's got UVA going in the right direction. Already won more games (3) than all of last year.

But, I don't think he'd like the pressure of UT or the SEC. Very laid back, nice guy, doesn't work on Sunday's due to religious beliefs, seems like a really good guy. Had little pressure at BYU, no pressure or high expectations at UVA. People here in Charlottesville would be thrilled with 6 wins and a bowl game. Maybe I'm wrong, but doesn't seem like a good fit.

I'm going to go with REALISTIC candidates. So no Gruden, Kelly, Peterson, Patterson, etc..

1. Justin Fuente
2. D.J. Durkin
3. Mike MacIntyre

Why don't you think Gruden or Kelly are possibility? Both are available at the moment. Won't know until you ask them so they're for sure a realistic candidate

I agree on Kelly. Gotta go after him. But I'd make a run at Gruden also

Nobody big wants to come here. If they are making good money at a halfway decent program, why leave? So many of you wear these orange glasses. No one outside the state sees us as relevant anymore.

Unless we throw a huge offer out there, I dont think we get a "big" name. I just dont see that happening.

Kelly or Miles... Maybe, bc they are unemployed and want to coach.

Gruden and Stoops... nope, happy doing what theyre doing.

Peterson, Patterson, Shaw, Fuente etc.... Why would they come to Tennessee? Its not '98 anymore. They are succeeding where they are.

Most likely end up with someone like DJ Durkin, but I would like to see Jim Bob given a chance.

I dont want anyone named Jim Bob Cooter. I'm sorry. I just have a hard time supporting someone by that name. Derek Dooley was a stretch and I now know that I should have gone with my gut and not supported anyone named Dooley. But hey, his dad and all that. But this time I'm going with my gut.

I like the sound of the name Tomlin though.

I want Andy Ried (offensive mind), Wade Phillips (defensive mind) and Justin Fuente (unshakable sideline presence) rolled into one guy. And I want that guy to be named Wandyn Fuelipsied. Find me Wandy Fuelipsied and we will be unstoppable. T-Rex-with-long-arms-level unstoppable.

Its been a long day and I'm bored. Sorry.

Brohm is a drama queen. He has done very well and won games and played games well, but he is just getting figured out. When he is figured out will be as good? He loves to do things like throw chairs in the locker room and he is REALLY BIG on slogans like "row the boat".

Sounds like pj fleck

Remember your post when Muschamp bombs out at SC (if he couldn't make it at UF with that state's talent to recruit from he sure won't make it at SC) and gets replaced by Jim Bob and SC starts beating up on us. Or Auburn finally gets tired of Gus not beating Bama and they hire Jim Bob Cooter. If he's a winner you don't care what his name is just ask Clemson.

Wish list:

1. Stoops
2. Kelly
3. Miles

Realistic list:
1. Norvell
2. Durkin
3. Fleck
4. Fuente
5. Cooter

Gruden is NOT coming.

wouldnt mind Durkin....I prefer a defensive minded coach which is why I would add Venables. Otherwise I dont like anybody else on the realistic list options

Strong
Dabo
Cooter

sorry...couldn't resist...

Strong couldn't do it with Texas' recruiting base, so I would have significant concerns with his ability to recruit and win at UT, although he does have some good ties to FL.

Venables would be fine if we go the coordinator route. He could be the next Kirby Smart. I think Cooter could be good, but no HC experience and not sure he would leave the NFL.
