Gillislie Out?

This is reminiscent of the '92 game when Errict Rhett was injured in the first half.

UF had no offense at that point, and the floodgates opened....figuratively and literally.

Will not be playing on Sunday next year....just the best they have left over from Coach Urbs recruiting the fast little midget men for the spread. In Coach Muschumpo pro style offense, it is like running a little mole into a brick wall.

They have a skills mix problem...

I disagree. I think he is a very good RB - strong, fast enough, runs down hill, has agility, good size.

If he puts up consistent numbers he will be drafted and play on Sundays.

He is better than any back UT has on it's roster.

A groin injury is tuff to play through you can't stride like you want to and making cuts off the side that is hurt is very painful. I guess it might be fine with a cortisone shot though.
JK.

this exactly, you can't get into full stride running, or at least I couldn't when the same injury plagued me. I didn't have cortisone to rely on, so that could prove to be the difference, we'll see.

He will start. Will he finish is anybody's guess. Despite the 7 game streak all the Gators know this game is huge. Right now breaking down the East you have Georgia and USCe already with conference wins and picked to be the champions. Then you have Mizzou and Vandy with losses and Kentucky all pretty much at the bottom. This game decides if you move on to challenge the Dawg's and the Cocks for the East or move down with the rest of the pack. So he will gut it out for them as long as he can go. I'm always amazed at the pain these kids will endure to be on the field. Look at Conner Shaw against Vandy and we all could name dozens more. I want to beat the Gators real bad but I hope this kid doesn't get seriously injured because he's already dinged up.

even if gillissee was 1% healthy, muschamp would say he's "almost 100%." Hopefully, dooley doesn't believe any of that bs.

Yes, never.

Unless you have a link to a game where both teams had not one single injury, suspension, sickness, or whatnot.

I await your link with much anticipation.

As much as I hate to see or use the word NEVER...you could very well be right.

Agree with this 100%.

Muschamp did the same thing with Ronald Powell, now he's out for the season.

No Powell, Jenkins or Riggs on defense does not bode well for our chances to pressure Bray.

If Gillislee isn't 100%, and I don't expect him to be, this game could get ugly unless UF forces turnovers and gets Debose involved in the return game.

Tell us again how Driskell is gonna redshirt and Brisset has already won the starting job.

We need a chuckle.

Could be...we'll never know, that's a stat that doesn't exist to my knowledge.

But as you observed, common sense suggests that I am.

Some folks don't have common sense, though.

Disagree. He is playing better than any back UT is using right now, but he is not better. We have comparable talents on the team right now, they just aren’t playing to their full potential.

Let Coach Graham get his grimey paws on these guys for a couple of years and see if the NFL doesn’t start camping outside of Neyland Stadium again.

Would it be nice to beat UF at 100%? Sure it would. But, you go to war with the army you have, not the one you want.
A win over UF at 75% is still a win over UF. Who cares.

Besides, they have beaten up on us the last few years when we have been far from 100%
Its time to return the favor.

This. It don't matter how you get it just get the W.

Except for quarterback and wide receiver. You can't compare the talent at quarterback and wide receiver, it just wouldn't be fair.

All I was saying was about RB.

And I agree, Florida isn’t producing at those positions like UT did with a Sophomore-led crew. You made me look up just what the composition of their offensive roster looks like, class-wise. I had no idea there were that many 4 and 5-year guys there. Now the comparison really does look bad, production-wise.

With him or without him we still have to play the game and we still have to win. One player is not what we need to focus on.

In this game he IS the focus of both the fans and I'm sure the players and coaches. Their offense is centered on him so his health is absolutely worthy of discussion.

Common sense suggests whatever comes out of your mouth, the opposite is true. To say a game has NEVER been played without injuries or suspensions flies in the face of common sense. It is your typical idiotic hyperbole.

I'm sure he doesn't. Dooley likes to play those games too. No one knew anything about Maggitt's toe and it wouldn't surprise me if there's nothing wrong with it.

Jay Graham is a plus but talent is what will put players in the NFL.

No one agrees with you.

And they're right.

BTW, its not just injuries or suspensions, but also academic issues, sickness, unexplained absences, disciplinary, etc.

So yes, you're wrong. yet again. :eek:lol:

At least you're consistent!

I remember when Jamal Lewis went down for the season and so many people wrote the Vols off, including fans. What happened then? A couple of unknowns named Travis picked up the slack pretty well. I don't care what name Florida has on the roster come game day. We cannot pin our hopes of victory on one of their players being injured. I am sure they have a star sitting on the bench waiting for an opportunity. We just need to go out and beat them. Period.
