From some of the stuff I heard on Swains podcast this week it sounded like Gibbs had been underperforming and Jayson sounded surprised by this. I wonder if any of that comes into play right now?
I respect his decision, but I had high hopes for him this season.

I read where he wants to concentrate on academics. As he doesn't lose any eligibility this year, probably the right thing for him to do.
