I have a tattoo and I really like it. On my left forearm. I got it at 18. My mom and dad are old school Southern Baptist family. Their reactions were priceless when I told them.

Ha, I could only imagine. My brother let his hair grow out his last semester. My dad was none to thrilled.

My brother was living on a houseboat n running a marina. He was straight hippy for that year. He told my dad in 6 months he'd have a real job n would never be able to have hair like that again. He's worked in DC. since then so he was right in that prediction

Can't go wrong with that choice.

I don't fault anyone who takes time off. I took a year off of school before starting, which was just incredibly a good decision (I was sick for two years). I was not ready to go to school/work full-time. Luckily my parents didn't kick me out :)

Z - he was actually still in school, but same thing.

Squirrel- my dad is a conflicted man. Staunch conservative, southern baptist pastor but he loves Merle n Waylon n the boys

I've got 2. One a tree stump with roots in the shape of letters of my 3 son's first initials.

1st one is a little odd. Kept having a recurring dream about samurai swords, so I got 3 swords with my son's initial's on them, and they had red handles. Wife wondered wtf I was doing. I just told her for some reason I felt like getting them on there to remind me of where to draw strength if I needed it
Fast forward 3 years later, and 2 of my 3 sons have won red handled samurai swords in jijitsu tourneys. At the time of the tat, the gym they go to wasn't even open and we weren't in the sport. Pretty cool story bro, iyam. Now, need the 3rd one to do it to come full circle.

No, I'm not trying to be funny or lying about this one. Friends at pool or beach would ask me Wtf and I didn't really have an answer. Now, in the last 6 months, it feels like an answer. Could be coincidence, but cool anyway.
