Getting out of hand!!

Amari Evans just hit the portal and I am tired of all the year to year roster changes. NIL is ruining college sports and something needs to be done.

Maybe if we stop going to the games maybe our voices would be heard and stop this mess
No!!

You got to adapt! New age of basketball! Don’t have to like it but this is what it is! You either going to adjust or don’t be a fan of college bball but this is where we are unfortunately!!

I called this on yesterday! I knew it was coming… but Burg and Brown are locked in so that’s where we will build around along with the incoming freshman!’
I was not impressed by Burg at all personally. Brown on the other hand, I see a bit of Grant Williams in him so glad he is back.

Here’s the problem. You’d have to think that all those guys best basketball is ahead of them. Boswell, Evans, Phillips, Carey and Estrella. If each of those guys improves 20%, then you’ve lost. I’m not saying you can’t sign more proven guys, but Barnes’ system is more culture than it is X’s and O’s.

Boswell has already made a jump. I’d expect Evans to do as much. A healthy Phillips and Estrella. If Carey drops 20 pounds? I hope Barnes knows what he’s doing. This is uncharted waters.

We have been to the Elite 8 three straight years and in those years our best players have been out of the portal. Also some of the highest attendance in the country in all sports at UT.
Football just reloaded and will most likely be better than last year.
This is not 1982 anymore, it’s just the way of the world. (Though contracts with buyouts wouldn’t be a bad idea)

I too hope the future Hall of Fame guy who has been coaching longer than I’ve been alive and given us the best basketball we have ever had knows what he’s doing.

I get that. Did I say he couldn’t do it?? The fact remains, he’s never done anything like this. Has Barnes built off culture or out scheming his opponent? You and I both know it’s the former. So, you’re going to build that wth two returning players, neither of which were starters?? I think that’s reasonable skepticism.

Rumor is he’s going after offensive first players? Well, so are all the other big dogs. So far, we’ve got a sharp shooter from Belmont who doesn’t play defense.

This is what you get when people kept whining players should get a piece of the pie. And there’s gonna be ones say well the university makes millions off of these athletes. Those millions are used to upgrade facilities for athletes, students and yes fans. Now that universities have to spend $25-$30 million (guessing) more dollars on athletes. But then complain about ticket prices going up. This is exactly what you get.

If the guys leaving the program and getting the attention and offers that everyone is talking about, it's gonna take more money than that to bring in comparable or better guys. Most of the guys leaving should have been expected to take another leap up next year. Hope this works out to be a step up but I'm very skeptical of that happening.

So you are going to blame the Team for what the NCAA has allowed. Sounds like a true fan.
