I don’t know why collegiate basketball was ever anything else. It’s not like students were ever held to any penalty for transferring to pursue other opportunities.Be easier to just call everyone free agents each offseason and sign annual contracts. Dunno why we still pretending this is collegiate basketball.
I was turned off from Pro sports havent watched a complete game since before the 2000s. At least a Pro would sign a 5 year deal, now you hardly know a player and their in the portal year to year and their agent is putting feeler's out with other college teams as soon as they sign with you. Hey dudes going be playing in a arena close to your location look him over and make a offer we're interested. Hope to negotiate soon the season be over quicker than you think and he will be yours if the "Price is Right". Its a slimy sport with agents and AAU coaches looking for $$$ for steering players along with travel coaches. The slimmest ones are the best at it/ Just look at HCs in college Will Wade big A$$ offers fired but somehow rehabilitated and back, Todd Golden sex scandal and the list goes on and on these are the supposed leaders of men, think about it.Was reflecting tonight and considering this money thrown around. We have 19-21 year old bench contributors leaving because they demand multiple times the money that cardiovascular surgeons make in a year. 40x what police officers or teachers make. It's ridiculous and turning me off to collegiate sports, in general.
This is the reality and with Danny White continually increasing prices, it's easy to do.Simple solution.
Stop going to games or watch something else.
It’s not going away.
I don’t like that pro sports can force a guy to re-sign against their will (franchising) and trade a guy against his will. College is ideal, minus the weird spending cap and sketchy rules enforcement. The players want to continue playing for UT, but we have to let some poorer athletics program pay them what they want so that we can afford the elite players to stay within the agreed upon revenue sharing. UT would retain all of these players if no for the unequal revenue sharing.. We don’t get to spend our surplus because other schools make less.I was turned off from Pro sports havent watched a complete game since before the 2000s. Hoping you solved our QB issues......We have been to the Elite 8 three straight years and in those years our best players have been out of the portal. Also some of the highest attendance in the country in all sports at UT.
Football just reloaded and will most likely be better than last year.
This is not 1982 anymore, it’s just the way of the world. (Though contracts with buyouts wouldn’t be a bad idea)
