“You know who’s real fans when things go wrong,” said Jones, a sophomore. “There’s a lot of things that say, ‘Fire Fulmer’ and ‘Get (Jonathan) Crompton out of there and put Jones at quarterback’ or ‘the receivers can’t win one-on-one’ and ‘(tailback) Arian (Foster)’s not running physical.’ I’m not worried about that. They might as well be Florida fans because they’re saying the same exact thing.”

Trust me, FL and all the other SEC teams are NOT calling for Phil to be fired.

Sucks Florida is getting to enjoy a National Championship, Heisman Trophy, and another possible National Championship again this year.

It's standard for players to defend teamates and coaches. If the players didnt then things would be even worse.

I'll respond to Mr. Jones by saying: If we might as well be Florida fans for that you players might as well be MTSU because thats the level of execution you're putting out there as a over priced product.:good!:

how about Fire Clawson

How about getting a QB that can hand-off to a RB without hitting the FB and forgetting his fundamentals. You can only blame the coaches for so long before you ask yourself if the player actually gets it. It's like trying to blame a Harvard professor when a student just doesn't get it. (Not saying our coaches are comparable to Harvard professors, it was just a comparison.)

Gerald, do you think that the Florida fans had ANYTHING to complain about during last Saturday's game?? Also, do you really think that this is the first time that our coaches and players didn't execute when it mattered and we the fans noticed?? My friend, I have defended you and praised you, but comparing me to a Florida fan is just about as insulting as you can get without spitting on me.

I like G Jones character. Defending his coach and players is a great trait for any player to have. But when you're looking from the inside out, you tend to miss some things

Real Players would get real, quit crying and making excuses and go out and kick someone a$$ on the field (and I'm not talking about ALA B'ham).

Too much jaw flapping going on and this seems to have started (and not stopped) with the head coach. For everyone that wants to defend Fulmer for the character he instills in these young men only needs to see whats going on to realize he has failed there as well as his failure on the feild.

The Blue Raiders would love to have a shot at the Vols this year.
