George W Is Gutless..

Over half of the country disagrees with you but I'd guess you'd say they all have IQ's of less than 60 and are gutless cowards and idiots as well?

We haven't had half the country on the same page with regard to a President since 1988.

What of those in that percentage that are Republicans? Misguided? Brainwashed by the Vast Left Wing Conspiracy?

They will be back, though!!! No way the left wins in '08 with the motley crew of potentials they have right now. Plus, who says the polls are even accurate? I generally don't waste my time with them and know very few who do. It's very easy to say the war on terror is not accomplishing anything--but aside from saying we need new leadership or we need to pull out of Iraq, critics have offered little by way of an alternative approach. That is another reason the left won't win. I would vote for a moderate if he answered questions with specifics and demonstrated the he had a plan that convinced me that things would be different in the WoT without throwing in the towel...but I can't see that happening.

Who on the Right has a better chance? Polls not accurate? Well tell that to Mehlman and Rove who are touting the polls now showing Congressional races are up in the air.

The GOP Primaries are going to be interesting. We're going to have McCain playing the populist, Giuliani playing the hero and there will be a mad scramble to play the role of the actual conservative. If somebody doesn't emerge pretty quickly to play the role of the right winger, I wouldn't be surprised to see Newt jump in just to wreack havoc.

Newt has his own issues the social conservatives will face a hard time dealing with. Newt has trouser issues no different than Clinton. If the Social Right doesn't like Clinton's behavior, then Newt's is not that much further behind.

Plus Newt is too much like Gore. He's a policy wonk. He get's lost in details and goes far above everyone's head. He's notorious for losing crowds in long speeches.

I think I know where Cspin stands on Frist, but what about the rest of you guys? Does he have a legitimate shot?

Don't get me wrong. I don't for a second think he could get out of the high teens in support, I think he might pull a Pat Buchannan and jump in just to pull the debate to the right.

Primaries are typically filled with those trying to outconservative (on the Right) and outliberal (on the Left) each other.

Maybe he had better things to do than watch the 'Aints play football, surrounded by 70,000 people that apparently have an IQ less than 60, since most are moving back into that city.

Don't be mad are slightly more intelligent than yourself :birgits_giggle:

Sorry but as someone who was born here and live here, I can't help but laugh at others who look at every New Orleans person and think they are black, poor, and every other lame insult in the book. I would take the private education system here over numerous other cities including Atlanta, Tampa, and Dallas.

Makes both the left and right wing look like IDIOTS when they talk about Katrina and New Orleans. It's sad really. Nobody ever talks about Lakeview being whipped out and that was a generally white, up-scale place. Why didn't CNN ever cover that area during the first few days? Because it wasnt a good story.

You would think the right-wingers would know all about the media and how they love to "make up" stories out of nowhere (hell, I would know first hand having served).

Lived in numerous cities across the country and out of the US and have yet to find a city I would rather be in.

BTW, I am sure I have a ton of grammar errors in here :p

Funny, I never said anything about being black and poor. Also, I have never heard great things about the private educations systems in Atlanta, Dallas, and, least of all, Tampa. When I think quality private education, I think Chicago, New York, Pennsylvania, and Boston.

No, you didn't but the comments still speak for themselves and/or what you were talking about in terms of the people in the Dome's IQ. I attended as did many white, educated, and quite wealthy people.

It's just funny to hear so many people around the country act like everyone that is a Saints fan and that comes back to the city are whatever as you put it...small IQ'ed.

The ignorance around this country has hit an all-time high. Whether it is the topics of the President, War, Gov't, or Katrina....it really does show how completely sad and pathetic many can be.

Atlanta has several excellent private and actually public schools as does Tampa. Not the type of school education you will find in the NY, Chicago area mind you but quite good.

When I referred to IQ, I was definitely including "white, educated, and quite wealthy people" all of whom choose to live below sea level and surrounded by water...
