Did Fulmer not go down in flames, get fired and never get another coaching job? As I've said before, Sears was a massive business but at the end of the day they were a failed business. Fulmer had success but failed and was fired. Majors firing here came in the midst of his best seasons and best recruiting. Fulmers firing came long after his best days were in the rearview mirror.
If Majors was the AD he would have hired Kiffin in 2017 and we would have had 3 years of fun football.
Majors grew up in a different era and had no tolerance for incompetence. If his mother had been our offensive coordinator and we were not scoring enough points he would have fired her. He developed some very good coaches and had a very productive coaching tree both college and pro. What from his past make you think Majors would have touched a guy who dumped his school with as much as a phone call for a second shot?
Tolerance was not one of his hallmarks that I remember. Thus the turnover we associate with his career. Not a bad thing, but a real thing.

Since Fuller is the AD he could be fired for cause too for not following NCAA rules and following compliance. Right?
Legend has it that JohnnyMajorsGhost haunts this board, bringing misfortune upon all the Fulmerites. The legend further states that if you say his name three times he will appear…a la Beetlejuice The Bell Witch , The Candyman, etc…I miss coach majors.
All Head Coaches with great all time records start to slide and get pushed out. Bobby Bowden, Steve Spurrier, Lloyd Carr, Mack Brown, Lou Holtz, Frank Beamer, Johnny Majors....to name a few. The “fail” part is directed at the end of the career.151-52-1 coaching record for Fulmer. You have some high standards if that is "failed".

You want to know why most on here are pissed and done with Fulmer now? This speech right here got our hopes up....believing....instead look what he got us in after this tough guy speech.
SO, personal attacks are included in your arsenal of inaccuracy? NICE.I understand your point, but Coach Majors really didn't slide. He had one bad season coming off of 3 SEC titles in a six-year span. I hope we can get the ship righted. Many disagree with me, but fat-boy Judas Brutus is the origin of all of our troubles.
