I know people hate when a new thread is started that includes Kiffin, but I just was wondering if he had the team read the maxims in unison in the locker room like Fulmer did. Would not shock me if he didn't, just was curious. I would expect Dooley to keep this tradition alive, but I have no idea if he does it either.

I understand that the "select seven" are part of the game day preparations. In reality, there are over 30 of Neyland's maxims.

The reason Kiffin didn't like the 7 Maxims was the fact that he more less wanted to change everything that UT Football stood for. After looking back on the way Kiffin did pretty much showed he had no ideal of what UT football was about.

Kiffin always had a senior lead the team in the reciting the maxims before a game, rather than saying them himself. I don't think he much cared for the tradition but was smart enough to know that doing away with it would have upset too many people.

I think Dooley does it because he understand what the Maxims mean to Tennessee. Like he said he grew up in the Conference I'm sure Georgia has smoething like them that they do or LSU where he was.

Kobra-Kai maxim: Sweep the leg

I think we need Cobra Kai maxims in the locker room

"Kreese: Fear does not exist in this dojo, does it?
Karate Class: NO, SENSEI!
Kreese: Pain does not exist in this dojo, does it?
Karate Class: NO, SENSEI!
Kreese: Defeat does not exist in this dojo, does it?
Karate Class: NO, SENSEI!"

Also, Kiffin did not have the team read them before away games.
