Gators are Scared!

They didn't go in the river. They went down Cumberland and if I remember right wound up in front of the book store? I was on the rear end of the 2nd goal post as we carried them down the street. May have been the first one, Hell I was pretty drunk and that was a long time ago. Good times indeed.

Cops had both ends of Cumberland blocked off.

First of all, this is no different than any other year. This is the same thing Florida has done every year. Keep their mouths shut, their heads low, come in and FIND A WAY. As opposed to volnation which hasn't won a game in 12 years yet seems unable to shut their mouths and keep their heads low, talking big chit all the way to finding a way to lose. Quit shaking the gorilla cage, he will eventually get ahold of you.

Secondly, even if we win this game we have 0, goose egg, nada, reason to be boasting. It will take a few years of wins before we get our right to do that back.

Gotta start somewhere.

Except this isn't what is happening. They are running their mouth to no end this offseason. Teams that run their mouth usually are trying to compensate for something. I'm not saying Florida is scared, but I think they realize that we are going to be a very good team this year and that they can't just walk into Neyland and win.

They are hoping they can get in our heads probably.

Down here in Florida, all I hear from Gator friends is how we definitely will beat them. That they are going to Knoxville with no hope of winning. The problem is I'm not buying it. I was in the swamp last year and couldn't believe the outcome. I left in total disbelief. So, I'll be in Neyland ready to cheer for our boys and I know it is sure time for a BIG win to shut up the mouths of these Gators!

Alright, imagine you're a current UF player and all the alumni are tweeting you and telling you that you can't be the team that ends the 11-game streak against UT. In a couple of months you're traveling to Neyland and will be a 2 TD underdog and you have Spurrier, Tebow, the Pounceys, Emmitt Smith, Grossman, Wuerffel, Floyd (Sharrif), Harvin, and from cell block A-342 the man himself - Aaron Hernandez - all telling you that YOU CANNOT BE THAT TEAM THAT BREAKS THE STREAK. Try to tell me that these kids are not going to fold like a cheap lawn chair.

Continue to enjoy the off-season...

I don't see how, after 11 years I think their tired of hearing all the bs talk about the vols. So am I, just want to see them beat uf

Until we actually beat them, it makes perfect sense that they would have a "we'll believe it when we see it" attitude. We would be the same way if the tables were turned. I think most Vol fans understand that.

They know just like we do, that we have had the better team the last two years. They have somehow come out the victors anyway. Until we end that streak they are in our players heads like it or not.....

We'll have them singing Rocky Top before they know it. Let's go out and drub them by 20 and make sure they have a nice ride home. On the way back to Jortsville I hear there are some clubs in ATL they can stop by. After all, it is tradition for them to have players suspended the day after they play us. If they're feeling too depressed after the game that will be a nice consolation prize. Sep 24 cannot get here soon enough!

Every year at SECMD they say the same stuff.
Every year we think we can do it
Every year we get our hopes up.

For 11 years we've fallen flat.

How about not saying shat and wait until they prove it on the field..

Sooo...I have yet been to Neyland Stadium but would love to make the Florida game my first experience.

I have an idea for scoring against Florida. To insure Butch does not take his foot off the pedal.

Suggestion:
Set up donation fund to Butch's favorite charity and use scoring as an incentive for the donation amount.
As follows:
For every point above 50 the fund would donate $1,000 to his charity. At 60, the amount would increase to $2,000 per point. At 70, the increase would go to $3,000 per point ... you get the idea.

In the end, Butch and Tennessee could do a lot of good things just by scoring points - All for a good cause. Not only helping needy children, but also kicking the crap out of Florida. It's a win-win plan.

Yeah but that's boring!!

Optimism is always high for every team to start the season because EVERYONE is undefeated and in the hunt for a championship :good!:

That's a good idea. But, if someone got hurt because he left his starters in with a huge lead that'd be bad. Gotta think about the whole season - do that for every game they won and I think you're on to something.
