Iam sure that every fan base can say the same about any away game (especially a night game) experienced on the road. The actions of a few ignorant fans, probably young and drunk, should NEVER be a true reflection upon a University and a football team, and also of game that is played by a bunch of 17, 18, 19, 20 year old young men. Iam once again sorry to hear of this article, and I hope the young man is in good condition and spirits.

:hmm:I was making reference to ALL SEC TEAMS and venues....it happens at EVERY campus, each Saturday. Passionate fans, loving their respective universities and football teams are one thing....but insults, name calling, profanity and threats to ones life are senseless acts of stupidity and immaturity.

all teams have over the top fans, but based on my experience and the experiences of my friends the Gators are the worst. by far.

Sports Illustrated reported in 95 or so that the rule change re which sideline the opposing team is on was based on Gator student section fans throwing cups of urine on the UT team. the same article described a gang of UF fans accosting Vicki Fulmer and threatening her before being run off by some UT assistant coaches.

there are possibly some classy Gator fans (i've never met one, however), but there sure are a whole lot of degenerate losers in the bunch.

I heard they were trying to kill him - but underperformed because they had the flu and/or didn't want to show him all of their moves.

When I went down 2 years ago they are all new jersey shore guidos. They are terrible. The white trash you see are not graduates but just backwoods florida folk. All in all they are trash and now that they are winning they think they are untouchable. cant wait til they get here next year. Its an end to the era and a beginning of our dominance.

There will be a ton of payback next year in Knoxville. Without Tebow, florida will be ordinary. Brantley---good, but not SEC title quality. UT's D will be all over him.

2 things about this post. Your avatar. Georgia license plates that show your allegiance to UT. Tennessee has those also. Does Florida? oh no... but there are tons of those damn crocs here. Nice recriprocity.

Second. As much as I love the VOLS... and Manning.. Berry.. etc... I cannot IMAGINE getting a tattoo with their image. Power T.. maybe... but that's just me.

I truly 100% believe any UT fan on here that says "it happens at every school" has never been to Gainesville. I've never seen violence like this down there, but a lot of the behavior from the Gator trash is like no other place.

Goes to the point we love the game and our Vols - we just Don't live it like this - we are all on the same team - USA. God bless the gator fan who stepped up to help.

Gainesville, even after a Gator loss, is a terrible place for opposing fans. I have felt quite welcome in other SEC venues, surprisingly so in Tuscaloosa. The barking gets a little old in Athens, but I haven't had any real problems there.

Wisconsin has historically been abominable from both a hospitality and a guest standpoint. It made their trips to Ohio State quite interesting.

What do u expect they are all trash, but it's ok it justifies me to do the exact same s*&^ to them next year in knoxville cuz you better believe i will be thereto see Coach Kiff break the streak

Please don't. Granted they are proud of it, the reputation of those in Gainesville is not a positive thing and I'd hate to have the same in Knoxville. Just laugh at them like the rest of us and keep it at that.
