I think last night showed Mullen is a damn good coach

Miss st is already broken after playing 5 games without him while Fla is getting better by the week

Miss st won’t find another Mullen for a long time imo

Mullen is the superior hire. And, he’s doing it with UT retreads in his coaching staff.

I said Pruitt should have kept Warren as he was the best coach on staff. Pruitt has to waste too much time on the DBs because Fair doesn’t have the experience.

Unfortunately I agree. As much as I hate it, he will have UF battling UGA for the East within 2 years, maybe even next year. I think UGA is a little much this year but you never know. UF has historically given UGA fits. I do think that come year 3 UT will be next in line behind UGA and UF. I don’t yet know if Pruitt can get on the same level as UGA but Mullen is proven and in a hotbed of talent at a school that has not had trouble getting talent. He will do very well.

actually makes him look worse. he was able to defeat the team he built over 9 years, arguably called the best Ms St team ever, with the leftovers from a 4 win team.

All that tells me is moorehead and shoop suck

No doubt in my mind Mullen would of won 9 with that team in his sleep

Fitzgerald all of sudden is trash after being pretty good the last 2 years lol dude was outplayed by Felipe

Also our D had 6 sacks to their 1 so ya I put that all on moorehead and shoop

:confused: How does that make him look worse again? He just beat the team that was ready-made, by him, with a 4-win team that was running a pro-set offense; and is now winning games with a RPO/spread using 2 QB's who are both pocket-passers... our whole offense has learned all this in 5 weeks of actual football.

When Herbal and CDM first got to UF and introduced the spread, they were lucky they already had a good, experienced QB and some kid named Tebow learning on the job... CDM has had to do this with Franks. No offense to Franks, but he's not even in the same conversation as Leak and Tebow if the topic is UF QB's. If we even just win more that we lose while undergoing a complete overhaul of offensive system and philosophy, I'll be impressed... winning some we shouldn't is just gravy.

under that supposition, really I don't think it makes him look any better or any worse, he looks worse because he needs someone else's players. at least too do better than his players. also watching the game it wasn't that Florida whooped up on MSU or even looked that good. it was kinda like watching our game last year, who was the least incompetent.

he had years to teach the MSU players, a lot were seniors and juniors, so plenty of time to make an impact. an impact which now looks not so good. Vs being at Florida he hasn't had a long time to have much of an impact, so its incredibly debatable how much they COULD have learned from him.

Juggernaut Franks threw for 219 yards at less than 10 yards a completion with 1 touchdown. Holy CRAP the improvement, might as well put him down for at least second team All-SEC.....
all told Mullen beast moded his team (UF) to 357 yards and ONE touchdown. lets see that ranks as tied for WORST from last year when playing LSU, Georgia, and Missouri. Mullen has really flipped them around.

dude may be good. I think he is a solid hire, I just wouldn't take anything away from beating your best team in a non resounding fashion.

isn't Fitz coming back from an season ending type injury? I know he is playing healthy, but that stuff can linger.

To say you saw 2 equally incompetent teams is hilarious to me if u actually watched that game but I don’t think u did if u did u would know Franks didn’t actually throw that touchdown

Yeah I also didn't pull the passing yards from watching the game either. its called a box score. useful for stats.

so what so impressed you? because obviously you watched a different game than I did. Your defense is good, or maybe MS is over rated on offense. your offense struggled. no other term for it. 13 points, one touchdown. most games that is a loss. woudln't call this one of the old fashioned SEC struggles with ELITE defenses smothering decent offenses. I saw two teams without a real identity struggle to do what they wanted.

I have watched three games. UK, UT, MSU. nothing has impressed me with Florida. well your kicker is good.

We saw it here at UT. after Fulmer left, and maybe Kiffin as players left that had been coached up what we saw after got worse. but those players who had been coached by Fulmer/Kiffin still looked good under Dooley (or at least better than the rest). good coaching has a long term impact.

Overall the team looked better and played more disciplined in their assignments
The OL looked better in the second half and held its own,opened up running lanes
WR made pretty good catches on the run
Franks made great decisions

You can't just look at the box score and say see they didn't play well, what you expect them to play like Bama in their first year?
In your opinion what else should they be doing?

Are you impressed how they beat UT?
