You realize that I’m not wishing bad things on Mullen right? Just because I don’t think he’ll win championships doesn’t mean I’m hoping he doesn’t. Really the only game I hope he loses is the Tennessee game.
If Florida reps the east vs Bama you can count on me pulling for Mullen to beat Saban.

Mullen turned down a few jobs he could of done well at imo

Most notably Miami

It was a perfect fit at UF tho there was the familiarity the fact he calls his own plays and can coach QBs he was bringing a solid DC in Grantham

UF fans were first foremost sick of garbage offenses every year so ya Mullen should of been picked after muschamp but Foley was a dumbass little bitch obsessed with trying to be Bama

Even tho Spurrier and Meyer tenure says high powered offenses led be Heisman QBs along with fast swarming defenses is the Florida football that wins sec and national titles

Fun fact even with Bamas recent run they still haven’t overcome UF as the team that’s been to sec championship game the most

To flat out say Mullen can’t win championships is crazy to me all he needs is to land a Tebow, Newton, Watson type talentg

Took Meyer 5 years to win 2, took Spurrier 4 years to win 2 (officially). Mullen will be in the 4/5 year range too, possibly.

So let’s say hypothetically it’s his 6th year and he’s won 0 championships. Been close and maybe been to the championship game. Do fans still want him to stay?

again I wasn't talking about what he has done, or will do, or what other coaches have done. we were talking about how impressive Mullen at MSU was. In fact your Rich Rod is a good example of what COULD be. way over rated.

I don't know if I said I would take Pruitt over Mullen, I could have but I don't remember. and yes I could see Pruitt doing well here. not a Saban type run but Fulmer levels of success. Winning the east every other year, winning SEC once ever 4 years, and a title once every 8 years is how I consider Fulmer's success.

Incredible stand by Florida.
Even with the coach getting an unsportsmanlike.

So did Florida not have talent or is it that the previous coach couldn’t coach.

I hope Florida can come back as I’d rather see the gators aginst bama.

So I stand by my original post. Dan Mullen= new Butch Jones of SEC. Does good up to a point, but loses to teams way less talented then him. He won’t get over that hump... MSU or FL. Just saying, glad we got championships in the future. Y’all gators have fun at a 10 game ceiling.

Florida obviously blew it today and may have given your post some validity, but what gives you the idea that UT has championships in the future when we can only score 14 on one of the worst teams in conference USA?

This is still one of the dumbest threads ever.

Instead of 10-2 in his first season, Mullen has 9-3 possible in his first season. Amazing seeing people compare him to Butch.

It’s said to death but hell even Nick Saban lost to Louisiana Monroe his first year. At least we didn’t lose the game.

Charlotte 14-3, UK favored over us in Neyland, inconsistency is the only constant, few spots of continued improvement (he's DC experience is giving our D life, I believe)... Ain't sayin' he can't turn it around, a'ight, just saying there's little to be pontificating about.

No. There is a lot of things to be excited about. I can see through the smoke and realize that we are a much improved from last year. I can see that recruits like Pruitt and once he has them we will be very successful! I can see he knows how to coach. He kept pounding the ball like we were in a scrimmage. Things are going to be done his way regardless. It’s hard to see the light right now, but he will get us there.
